“Our family enjoys eating at Naked Fish in Millbrae. Their sushi rolls and bento boxes are always delicious. There are many options to choose from between the menu and their daily specials. Their food is presented well and amply portioned. Their service is consistently good and the servers are attentive. Whether we eat a late lunch or dinner with family and friends, we always leave this place full and content.My only criticism of this place is the location. Because the gym is directly above it, more specifically, the weight room, you can hear the weights dropping on the floor on certain occasions and it’s distracting. However, because we enjoy eating here more than anything else, we tolerate the noise on the few instances it’s happened.There is ample parking around, both on the street and in the parking lot next to it.Overall, I recommend you try this restaurant if you’re in the neighborhood.“

I am 24 years old, but I went to the 2nd biggest party college in Ohio (LOL), and I am here on a 10 day business trip in the Bay Area, and I have to say Mr. Chad N. at the bar here at Grill & Vine, is by miles and miles the best bartender or server I have ever had the pleasure of having. “Holy cannoli! Came here twice in a week because it's that good. First time we dined in and had table service for three of us. The staff immediately greeted us with recommendations of the menu for food and drink. We started off with some cocktails- the Stemware at Dolores Martini, and a new addition which was basically a white Negroni. They were delish. For starters we ordered the focaccia bread and the fried mozzarella Carozza with a house made marinara. Both were an amazing way to start a meal. We shared the Bolognese and Gnocchi Carbonara with duck. Both packed with flavor. The Bologense tasted like I was at someone's house in Italy. We ended with the pistachio cannolis. The mascarpone was so soft and it wasn't too sweet. A perfect balance. It was so good I didn't even have time to take a picture. The second time we came we sat at the bar. It was a cool vibe to chat with the bartenders and watch the warriors game. The.l bar program should not be overlooked. We ordered the Lost Boy and the C is for Cookie. Both were delicious. I've never had a Manhattan with anise and Prosecco, but it worked. We again got the focaccia, this time with whipped ricotta and mortadella. It was amazing. We also used the bread to dip in the leftover sauce of the chilled artichoke. We shared the fried chicken and polenta as our entree. The polenta might be the best I ever had. The chicken was awesome, too. Perfectly crispy and juicy, and smothered with Calabrian chilis. Great flavor, not too spicy. We ended with that tiramisu, and once again might be the best I've had. The cake was moist and had the perfect balance of sweetness. I'll be back until I go through the whole menu. I'm looking forward to seeing this place evolves a great addition to the neighborhood!“

Even with the changing meet up times, they were all gracious and flexible enough to make it happen and I couldn’t have been happier to break bread with one of my oldest friends, aka The Captain, his wife, and one of the earliest friends I made in the Chicagoland area…and it didn’t hurt that the food was amazing! I’d probably walked past this place several times during my previous visits to Burlingame but never eaten there…my loss!“
“Everything we got here was absolutely delicious and authentically crafted. My party of 4 got a feast of food. One I recommend is the Pad Mango as it is something I have never seen on a menu elsewhere. The Massaman curry was probably my second favorite and the Samosas too!To me everything seemed to have a medium spice to it, so be cautious and ask if you can't handle spice. Good lighting for a nice dinner and great service. We live across the bay but will definitely be coming back!“

“We were here a few weeks ago for dinner on a cold rainy night and this place did not disappoint with a warm inviting atmosphere and friendly welcoming staff!! The menu is amazing and the food was delicious! My sister had the fish and chips she thought it was delicious and fresh as can be! I had the fried chicken sandwich with fries and it was amazing, my Aunt had the chicken sandwich as well with side salad and she said the salad was very fresh and delicious as well as her sandwich. Definitely plan on coming back soon!“

“Taking the N-Judah out to Ocean Beach, I find myself walking south on the paved walkway along the Great Highway trying to avoid zealous joggers and bicyclists. Not easy given how rude some people like to get. By the time I get to Taraval, I'm ready to make a left and head back into the city. However, before I set off on my journey back, I sometimes make the very first stop available right here. But only after 3PM because that's when they open. It's a surprisingly large space for a tavern, but the wood paneling, brick fireplace sometimes with a roaring fire, and overall old timey vibe make it feel cozier. I'm usually on the early side, so it was just me and the lone bartender. I've ordered the $12 Mama P's Shaken Pina Colada which always surprises me to see a tiki drink way out on the edge of the Sunset (photo: It's a mix of Malibu coconut rum, cream, and pineapple juice shaken and served over ice. Simple but quite tasty even on a brisk day. Recently I took advantage of their holiday menu and ordered the reassuring $12 Nutty Hot Chocolate with Baileys and Frangelico (photo: My one takeaway here is that it's definitely a locals' hangout, so when they trickled in, I felt very much the outsider. If I came later for an event, I would think that might offset that isolated feeling. Hell of a guy and a place to match.It doesn't matter what you're wearing, who you're with or if you're alone, they will make you feel welcome. Even if the day went wrong, the personnel will help make it better.The drinks for an inside SF bar are reasonably priced.The gents are as honest as the day is long. One of the first things I noticed was the high-quality of the menu: Mary's chicken, Scottish salmon, and other brands we love. The kitchen didn't disappoint. It is a very chill place to sit by the shoreline when it’s warm. There are fire pits, and l saw a cabinet with blankets, too! It did get chilly in the late afternoon, but we are hardy Coastsiders, and brought hoodies! Oh, and it’s Dog-friendly too. Many folks brought their canines!Not the owner’s fault, but coming down to the shoreline, from the parking lot and paved trail with a cane, was iffy. I’ll blame that on the SMC Harbor District which should have insured ADA compliance. On the way back, I did see I could have taken a less direct route had l been in a wheelchair.“

The QR codes make ordering easy from your phone, but there’s no concept of service since they just bring what you click, and asking for tip upfront is also a bit weird. “I had one of the top three burgers of my life here, just now. Everything was perfectly balanced. Not too loud, not too plain.It reminded me of old music, before digital engineering and autotune. Songs sounded so crisp, clear, and spacious. You could hear each instrument individually, and feel how they layered together in the mix.This burger was exactly like that.All of the ingredients were perfectly spaced out and flavored: the crisply chatted burger patties, the pepper, the cheese, the bacon, the caramelized onions, even the buttery, crispy bun… it all played together beautifully. I could taste each flavor distinctly. Nothing stepped on anything else. There was so much space between the flavors.The salad was delightful as well. It brought me back to a time in my childhood when my mom would make fresh salads for us with vegetables from her garden. It tasted freshly picked. “This Bernal Heights spot has been a lesbian bar since it first opened in 1962. When I paid my first visit quite recently, the irony was that most of the customers were guys. It was a chill vibe, and the bartender Heather had a been-there, done-that sense about herself which I quite respected. She made a fine $8 Tequila Sunrise (photo: which I promptly took out to the back deck. There was a female customer sitting contently on a couch, and she shared her long history with the place and generously walked me down to the large bucolic garden downstairs. I was surprised how large and private it was with lots of outdoor sculpture and various art pieces scattered among the foliage. I sat peacefully in my own private enclave. What a nice find on a mellow afternoon. “Can't beat Kendo's karaoke list here on Wednesdays and when I say list well pretty much any song you can think of just put it in and mark my words he's got it. The crowd is great too. They had free popcorn last time I was there . The crowd again super great. They have an indoors and then an indoors that looks like your outdoor too. It's like this big patio area but you're kinda still inside. They have great parking too. I choose to park down the street but just saying they have a parking lot .“

Not too busy, so we were able to grab a table and they had all the big games playing. The guys behind the bar - Glen and Jay - were awesome!! Very attentive and friendly. While we were there we ordered food from "The Hidden Spot", which is located all the way in the back of the bar. The two spots are not connected so you'll need to pay separately. We heard so many good things about their wings and they were delicious. $10 for 5 wings or $18 for 10. We wanted to try a couple different flavors and they were both really good. The place has a chill vibe, no frills, just a fun neighborhood bar. We had a great time and will definitely be back again.“
“I love this place. Every time I come here they are so friendly. And their food is truly the best. A fusion of Thai, and Chinese cuisine. My favorite dish is the butter garlic crab with french fries. If you order it with a side of garlic noodles it's truly amazing. Their spicy Fried rice has chicken and shrimp in it and is actually very original in taste. Stephanie and Allie have always treated me well. This place is a gathering point of this particular community and most importantly, it's open very late. “Great place. Very low key which is what I like as opposed to loud with obnoxious drunks. He keeps those guys (and occasional girls) out. Bartender/owner Justin is a great guy. I see other reviews saying he only pays attention to friends. Simply not true. There's a saying, close mouths don't get fed and this is no exception. If you ask or wave him down, you will get served. He's not just gonna stare at you till you finish your drink like people want. He will walk up and down the bar to make sure you're good or if you need anything then go and resume conversation with customers whether it be friends, regulars or newbies like I was. Has been my go to place for a month and a half now and am saddened that I was in the area temporarily and won't be in as often. Do yourself a favor and hit this bar up. Quieter than most bars but great selection and plenty of food in the area!! Some of the regulars are great too. Not territorial like other regulars in other bars. Made me feel welcome as hell there. I ordered the Mjadra and we shared the Fattoush salad, tabouleh, and pickles.
