I am from Detroit, and work in the bay area 2 weeks a month. I consider myself a dive bar aficionado. First visit here was in July, met George and a few regulars and fell in love immediately.
George treated me like I have been coming for years. Helped me find local spots to have great food and even helps me find Punk Rock shows to see when I am town. Chris's New Harbor is now my home away from Home.
Ask George to make you a Dolly Shot, they are Money 😀.

Chris' New Harbor Bar is a local favorite that offers a welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels at home. This Greek-American owned bar may not be a restaurant, but it occasionally serves delicious traditional Greek dishes like lamb, trigona, pastitsio, and Greek salad. On Thursday nights, karaoke with Ben is always a blast, and the place transforms into a fun hotspot with great drinks, 2 pool tables, and a dart board. The friendly bartenders, reasonably priced drinks, and amenities like pinball make it a great spot to catch up with friends. With its relaxed low-key dive bar feel, clean bathrooms, and good parking, Chris' New Harbor Bar is a hidden gem where everyone becomes your friend. Owner George is awesome, and the place has a nice atmosphere where folks smile and toast to a long day’s end. It’s the best dive bar around, staying true to its charm as a local hideaway and refuge.
