“It was my first time here. It’s pretty spacious inside. The staff was nice. Unfortunately, I can’t remember the roll I got but it was good. The Karaage was good and my friend’s bento box with fried tempura and teriyaki chicken was good. I thought everything was tasty. No complaints.“

“came here for their $38 sashimi omakase. which was really good and fresh. great for the price for the selection we received & portions. sashimi came with a side of sushi rice. we also got the truffle ramen which I though was okay but my daughter loved it. “This is our regular Japanese restaurant that we come regularly. I usually order unagy fried rice, veggie dragon and caterpillar to share. My husband usually order a bento box with chicken karaage and beef teriyaki while mom would have a bento box of salmon teriyaki and chicken teriyaki. It’s always good. Considering we are regulars, the waitress was very surprised when we ordered the following. Today we ordered veggie tempura (yummy), miso ramen, honey tonkatsu ramen, and mother ordered Charshu ramen. Not bad. Soup was not salty and it was enough.

Wanted to have a lite dinner. We ordered: tempura morí, caterpillar roll to share, Charcui ramen, spiral ramen, tempura udon, vege ramen, and chicken don. Not bad. The soup was not salty. Portions was just right. We all finished our dinner and appetizer.

Felt like noodles. We ordered: Seafood Ramen, Miso Ramen and bento boxes. We shared: Tempura Miro and Caterpillar Sushi. Yummy.“

“Asian centered buffet in Daly City at what I think used to be Todai back in the day, located next to Century Theaters. There is a huge parking garage connected to the building for parking. Attended a party here where they reserved the back dining room which was nice, they had TVs and they provided tables for our gifts and favors. Service was great; this is an all Asian buffet with Japanese, sushi and sashimi, soups, make your own mala tang, choose your own meats to bbq, tons of Chinese food, frogs legs, dim sum, you name it! They have a fridge where you can get your own bottled drinks too. Tons of dessert and ice cream! Good bang for your buck, the only thing is if you’re allergic to seafood. We had some people at our party that was allergic to seafood so make your own mala tang you had to be careful because of the contamination of seafood items to make or throw into the soup. My friend got soup but found a clam so she couldn’t eat it and had to be very careful.

Lots of parties for a Saturday, my friend said if you didn’t get the private room to bring balloons or something to decorate or note where your area is yours.“

“We've been here twice and enjoyed it both times. The sushi was fresh and well made, and the Hey Girl roll was our favorite. We'd order it again in a heartbeat. The flavors were balanced, the presentation was beautiful, and the portions felt just right.

The staff were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was welcoming, which made it a great spot for a relaxed dinner. One thing we really loved: they offer free ice cream if you're celebrating your birthday. It's a thoughtful touch that makes the visit feel special.

“I went to KEN for my birthday and it was absolutely phenomenal. The fish was delicious; so many new flavors and combinations; the chef was superb - talented and entertaining, with great attention to detail. The service was impeccable. I cannot say enough good things!“

“We celebrated my brother’s birthday here, and it was our first time dining at Akikos. We had one of the best omakase experiences and would highly recommend it!

The atmosphere feels luxurious and perfect for a special occasion or fine dining experience. I loved seeing how the entire staff worked together as a team, and the chefs were very detailed in explaining each dish and how it was prepared. The nigiri was exceptional, with noticeably high-quality fish and ingredients.

We also met one of their hostesses, Shaina, who was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made our experience even better.

Overall, it was definitely worth the price. We had such a great experience celebrating my brother’s birthday here, and we would absolutely come back!“

“I think the 4.7 Google rating for this place is too high. Four stars is more like it. The food was mostly good, but there were a few items that were not so great. We got the sashimi sampler. The barracuda and tuna sashimi were excellent and flavorful even without soy sauce. The aji and sea bream sashimi were fine, but had less flavor. The yellowtail sashimi was downright sour and not fresh. We also ordered some small plates. The agedashi tofu was very nice. The grilled scallops featured an impressive presentation (scallops in their shell cooking in a bubbling broth over a small fire that died down right when we finished the dish) and a tender texture, but ultimately the taste was bland. The assorted tempura was fine although I thought the batter could have been lighter. The house salad was large and fresh – a good deal. We finished with some skewers – shrimp, chicken, zucchini, and mushrooms. The skewers ranged from solid to good. Beyond the food, we thought the service was friendly and competent. The atmosphere, however, left something to be desired. The restaurant reeked of cleaning fluid and the floor was sticky.“

There are places to sit inside and outside. There are infrared wormers outside for cold evenings. The only concern is the working hours, only few hours during the day.“

“We were visiting San Francisco on a cruise and spent some time exploring Japantown. While walking around the Japan Center West Mall, we stumbled across Oma San Francisco Station.

It’s a tiny, almost hole-in-the-wall sushi counter with very limited seating, and it immediately reminded us of some of the small restaurants we visited in Japan. We hadn’t planned on eating here, but fortunately they were able to seat us.

We ordered the special tasting platter they had created for their anniversary, and the nigiri was outstanding. Having eaten sushi in Japan, we thought the quality here was every bit as good — if not better than some of what we had there. The fish was incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared.

After seeing all of their Michelin Guide recognition over the years, we could understand why.

Yes, it is expensive, but the quality made it well worth it. Sometimes the best places are the ones you simply stumble across, and this was definitely one of those places. A great little find in San Francisco’s Japantown.“

“We had Omakase last night. 2 of us. The food was sooo good, and lots of it. Several times during the omakase, we had multiple portions per round, with one even having 6 pieces. The scallop was my absolute favorite. Lots of great flavors to think through.

Unfortunately I don't think the service and delivery matched the omakase experience or price point ($500 for 2). The 2 staff that served the dishes were very busy elsewhere which meant that every dish was delivered with a 5 second turnaround. They were already running to the next table by the time our plates were down and barely gave us any description or overview of what we were actually eating. Most of the time their back was turned to me when telling what we were served as they were already on their way somewhere else. That's totally fine for an a la carte experience but for an omakaze, the entire point is that the chef chooses your adventure and the chef/server explains to you what you're eating. So while the food was great, the delivery of an omakaze experience is definitely not worth the price point. I'd advise to sit at the bar and if full like last night, just do a la carte.“
