Excellent miso soup in good size bowl. Water containers at each table. Take out available and no reservations taken. We went on a weeknight.“

“It was my first time here. It’s pretty spacious inside. The staff was nice. Unfortunately, I can’t remember the roll I got but it was good. The Karaage was good and my friend’s bento box with fried tempura and teriyaki chicken was good. I thought everything was tasty. No complaints.“

“This is our regular Japanese restaurant that we come regularly. I usually order unagy fried rice, veggie dragon and caterpillar to share. My husband usually order a bento box with chicken karaage and beef teriyaki while mom would have a bento box of salmon teriyaki and chicken teriyaki. It’s always good. Considering we are regulars, the waitress was very surprised when we ordered the following. Today we ordered veggie tempura (yummy), miso ramen, honey tonkatsu ramen, and mother ordered Charshu ramen. Not bad. Soup was not salty and it was enough.

Wanted to have a lite dinner. We ordered: tempura morí, caterpillar roll to share, Charcui ramen, spiral ramen, tempura udon, vege ramen, and chicken don. Not bad. The soup was not salty. Portions was just right. We all finished our dinner and appetizer.

Felt like noodles. We ordered: Seafood Ramen, Miso Ramen and bento boxes. We shared: Tempura Miro and Caterpillar Sushi. Yummy.“

“Asian centered buffet in Daly City at what I think used to be Todai back in the day, located next to Century Theaters. There is a huge parking garage connected to the building for parking. Attended a party here where they reserved the back dining room which was nice, they had TVs and they provided tables for our gifts and favors. Service was great; this is an all Asian buffet with Japanese, sushi and sashimi, soups, make your own mala tang, choose your own meats to bbq, tons of Chinese food, frogs legs, dim sum, you name it! They have a fridge where you can get your own bottled drinks too. Tons of dessert and ice cream! Good bang for your buck, the only thing is if you’re allergic to seafood. We had some people at our party that was allergic to seafood so make your own mala tang you had to be careful because of the contamination of seafood items to make or throw into the soup. My friend got soup but found a clam so she couldn’t eat it and had to be very careful.

Lots of parties for a Saturday, my friend said if you didn’t get the private room to bring balloons or something to decorate or note where your area is yours.“

“Really just a phenomenal spot. Took a gamble the first time after a load out on the way to the airport; could really sit here and eat sushi all day. Very nice waiter/host that I remember both times - everyone was so welcoming. Local tofu appetizer was excellent. Every piece of fish I wanted more of especially the sea trout; exceptionally fresh and also well cut / not too large of a piece especially with the sashimi. Can’t wait to be back in the area so i can visit again“

“First time coming here, sushi was really good and nigiri and sashimi offered a lot of different choices. Very convenient that the hot barley tea comes with refills, because it was honestly really good. The store was a little hard to find, as there is no sign above the door. Otherwise, one of the best sushi places I’ve ever been to! :)“

We got the top secret and hamachi carpaccio which I would definitely get again, then for main dish we ordered curry rice (little bit of spice, nice crispy pork) and mentaiko yaki udon (flavorful, not too heavy noodles were perfectly cooked) which were good but would want to try other items that also looked good on the menu. “So many delicious affordable options, it makes you want to order the entire menu. We got miso soup, cucumber salad, wok fried green beans, the tuna poke and the garden roll. Everything was so good and well worth the month. I wish the portions were bigger but for the price you really can't complain.“

We were seated at the section separating from the main seating area which is close to the door, so it was a bit cold because of the wind on that day. Super cute sushi spot that serves up a too good to be true happy hour and vegan sushi! They do have actual fish and alternative fish :)

Their happy hour is daily from 5-9pm which is amazing and they have an ayce vegan sushi deal as well. They have more than just the $2 nigiri in their happy hour menu, you can also get rolls and hand rolls!

I thought their fish quality was fresh and the nigiri was delicious! The rice was a little heavy but overall super enjoyable! My favorite was definitely the toro and saba. I also really enjoyed their blue crab handroll. I was too full to try their rolls but I could smell the lion king roll and it smelled delicious.

Parking can be tough but it's in a charming neighborhood. Staff and service were awesome! I would definitely come back!“

“We Normally go to the all you can eat place down the street but the portions are different now and it's always packed so we thought we'd give this a try and we were glad we did. It stays open almost 2 hours longer and had lots of open tables. We mostly did rolls and they were good, I generally test other places but their lion king and I can say they have one of my favorites, they use mozzarella where I haven't seen that used anywhere else yet. I also have to mention the drink prices are really good too. We will be back for sure. So if the place down the street has a waiting list maybe give Sushi Tonis a try!“

“The best omakase and multi-course dinner I’ve ever had. We came to celebrate our anniversary here and a great time. The atmosphere was perfect and the food/fish were literally hands down the best I’ve ever had. If you want high quality omakase where every bite is the perfect blend and diversity of textures and flavors you must go here.“

However, the service was a bit disappointing. The staff did their job, but they didn’t feel very welcoming or friendly. There wasn’t much interaction beyond the basics, and with the price point here, I expected a more warm and attentive experience.

The atmosphere was also just okay. It wasn’t fancy or fine dining, but it also didn’t really give a strong Japanese vibe either. The environment felt a bit mixed and not very memorable.

Overall, I’m giving 4 stars mainly because the food was good. If I rated the experience as a whole (food + service + atmosphere), it would probably be closer to 3/5. Still worth trying if you care mostly about the food.“

“The best sushi I have had, comparable to the best in Tokyo. The rainbow is my favorite. Lion king partcularly rich in taste. Salmon skin salad has some salmon meat, too. Softshell crab was crunchy and good. Golden gate and others are excellent, too.“
