“First time I had Lucia's pizza was at their pop up at the Grand Lake farmers market in oakland, and completely fell in love with the 4 cheese pizza! Decided to try the restaurant a couple of months ago and the didn't disappoint! Pizza was delicious and staff were super nice and friendly! “Amazing vegan spot! Everything was delicious. As an omnivore, I’m always on the lookout for plant based places that offer options everyone can be happy with. They were also great at checking for my allergens, even during a busy time. I ordered the smoked bbq sandwich and loved every bite. Their food is proof that this spot carefully selects their ingredients and doesn’t compromise on flavor. My vegan friend ordered the pyrgi and swapped the chicken for tofu. Our only regret is not trying the abundance of desserts they had out!“

“Boichik is a weekly favorite of mine. You can't go wrong with your choice of bagel, although pumpernickel caraway salt is currently my top choice. The coffee's good too, hot or iced. The attention to detail in the decor (cozy fireplace, exposed brick, distressed woodwork, leaf-shaped cushions, gold silverware, plants galore) is transportive. The food is ravishingly fresh and thoughtfully prepared. On two different visits, we shared Market Salads, Chia Bowls, Yogurt Bowls, and Lava Eggs. Tanzie, the owner, is delightful, and you can tell she has a hand in every dish. My 8-year-old, who is a very picky eater, loved the yogurt bowl, eggs, and especially the Thai Beignets! “I've been going to the Dublin and Livermore Sourdough sandwich shop since they opened. The food is always great, as is the service. Since I live in Livermore, I go to this place almost daily. The owners are so nice and always greet customers when they come in. I had them cater a huge pickleball event for our Tri-Valley Pickleball Club and they did an outstanding job. I highly recommend them as the premier sandwich shop in Livermore and the Tri-Valley.“

“We did take out of a pie - large - and haven’t eaten it yet. Very soon! We took a chance with the online number guess and lost. Our consolation price was a free large salad - Yay. Because the place is so new the manager didn’t know about the salad offer but as soon as he read my offer on my phone he had staff make up a beautiful salad for us to take home. Nice customer service.“
“For many years, San Francisco and Oakland have had wonderful bakeries but lacked the ability to make delicious bagels! That changed when Boichik Bagels opened up their bagel bakeries! We had heard about their fantastic bagels but being from New York City we were skeptical that any bagel shop in Oakland could compete with any of our local bakeries. Well, I’m happy to report that BOICHIK Bagels are absolutely as good if not better than our favorite NYC bagel shops!“

Still, the momos are the best around, The momos have amazing flavors, and the prices are fair. We usually do takeout, but we're excited to eat in sometime. The new owners have transformed one wall into a charming mural that defies description. Service is at times uneven but mostly warm and attentive. It's become our go-to spot.“

“La burrita Is yummy!!!!! Located not far from Cal University. I ordered a super burrito shredded beef, the delicious beef and beans and rice inside had good flavor. I had the Western burger and a salad we got one curly fry that we were all able to share! Everything was delicious. The service was quick and everything was served fresh. “My daughters and I had a birthday celebration dinner at Barney's yesterday. This was the first time I have eaten at a restaurant since the beginning of the pandemic so it was wonderful to have outdoor seating because I felt very comfortable. I would really like to commend the waitstaff. They were incredibly nice and so attentive! I worked in the hospitality industry before the pandemic, and I know how important it is to provide great customer service. The food was excellent. We ordered Cobb salads, three different types of fries and I enjoyed a salmon burger. My daughter had a great hamburger. I also appreciate the fact that takeout boxes are provided because we ordered more than we could eat at one sitting. Thank you for making my daughter's birthday celebration so epic. I won't let another four years pass before I visit Barney's again.“

The salmon was juicy and the skin was crispy even, which I never expect since it takes a while to get delivered. After I wouldn't shut up about it to my husband, we decided to try it in the restaurant today and now we're both scratching our head at how the reviews are so low on Yelp. He had the steak and I had the salmon again and both were DELICIOUS. The quality of both dishes were something we would've paid $30-40 in a nice Napa restaurant. We will definitely add Tender Greens to our restaurant rotation and I'm so glad it's so near us. We hope this Berkeley location thrives and stays open for a long time.“
