“I have been wanting to try this place for a while, and I’m so glad I finally did. The food was very fresh and delicious, and reasonably priced for the quality. Now instead, they've become easily one of the best fast-casual food in the bay. So I really can't complain. I guess their format changed worked because I've eaten here more often than when they were full service. The value for the money you get here is pretty nuts. Still just as good ingredients & just as good preparation, all at a more approachable price point & form factor. AND your thai coffee/tea is made with CONDENSED SWEETENED OAT MILK!!!! WHAT?! (I cannot do dairy so this is the best news ever)

Interior is super charming and the seating is very comfy and bathroom is clean, cute, service is always friendly and the staff presents well. My huge gripe - believe it or not - is the service is inconsistent. One time I went there when there was barely anyone in the restaurant, and only one person was working and, it took an eternity to get served. And then I went today, the restaurant was full, and there were two or three servers working, and literally we were getting interrupted every five minutes, asking if we’re doing OK, people coming to the table to pour water, telling us the kitchen is about to close, asking again if everything’s OK, too many concerns, etc., like too attentive to the point of not being able to have a conversation - insanely annoying. Also, the restaurant is quite small inside, and yet they blast music SO loud loudly that everyone is shouting to have a conversation, and because the space is small, you can hear your neighbors TOO WELL if they raise their voice even a little bit. REALLY ANNOYING when you’re trying to enjoy a cute lunch.“

During the reception, the staff was wonderful with the passed appetizers and the bar, and the servers took care of us (bride and groom) with special attention. I was pleasantly surprised to see Sam now serving as the General Manager — it was wonderful to see her and the excellent team she leads at this location. Currently you have to pre-order a day in advance for pickup so it takes a little planning but so worth it.Their fried chicken is so crispy. I ordered it with waffle fries and they say they only fire up the fries just before your pickup time so that they're fresh. When I went to pick up my order, they let me know it would just be a few minutes because the fries were finishing and when he came out with my order, he said he accidentally made the salad but included both the fries and salad and threw in a vanilla pudding. Everything was so delicious. Even the bonus pudding had flecks of vanilla bean and tasted so much better than the instant stuff. The chicken and fries were enough for 2 meals.“

We just love Jerusalem Organic Kitchen for a consistently well prepared meal, friendly staff, and really good ingredients! They serve a quick, casual, healthy, and absolutely delicious meal. “FoodieLand created a mango sticky rice problem… and I’m not even mad about it. 😭

After shopping in Hercules, BB and I decided to stop by Taste of Laos because I’ve been craving mango sticky rice ever since FoodieLand. I had seen some really positive Yelp reviews, and after this visit, I can confirm the reviews aren’t wrong.

We started with the Prawn Blankets, which are seasoned prawns wrapped in a crispy wonton-style wrapper and served with jeow som, a sweet and tangy Lao chili dipping sauce. There are five to an order, and they were absolutely delicious.

Of course, the main reason I came was for the Mango Sticky Rice. I asked for extra coconut sauce (because we’re not doing things halfway around here 😭), and it came with fresh mango slices, pandan sticky rice, sweet coconut milk, and sesame seeds. Everything was perfectly balanced, sweet, and incredibly satisfying.

The service was exceptional. The ladies working in the dining room were warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind.

I told them I’d be back often because of my newfound mango sticky rice obsession, and I wasn’t kidding. In fact… I may have ordered another one to go. No judgment, please.

Definitely recommend and can’t wait to come back.“
