“This is one of my very favorite restaurants in Martinez. I love the window seat when I can get it. Love the charming privacy it lends itself too. The service is amazing; especially if you get Darlene! She is friendly, efficient, clearly loves what she does! You are greeted as if your a long lost friend! The food is so fresh and very tasty. I've never had a bad meal in this place. They bring free bread with a balsamic dip to the table that is so good. I could drink the dip. Lol. Their CHINESE CHICKEN SALAD, DELUXE DUNGENESS CRAB MELT, GEMELLI PASTA WITH ROASTED SEASONAL VEGETABLES, AND THEIR COASTAL LINGUINI, (I substituted with chicken.) are some of my favorites. All theirs food is off the hook! Their prices are just slightly higher than the average; however, their food is great quality and they give a huge portion. They have live music on Friday and Saturday evenings. I've not been there on those nights. I feel quite confident that it just adds to the already charming atmosphere.

Just love, love, love this place.

I was a little nervous if I was going to like it but I was impressed with the quality of the food and the amazing service the ribeye and top sirloin and the lam chops were so good I’m not even a fan of lamb and it was absolutely delicious!!! “The cashier took my order very quickly and my order was ready in 15 minutes. I am from a small town with a large population of Indian people so there is an abundance of Indian restaurants but i gotta say this was the best Indian restaurant I have had the pleasure of trying. Warning if you are not into very spicy food avoid having your food be spicy choose mild. I love spicy food and the spicy lamb biryani did not dissapoint. It was so spicy my nose started running but it was sooooo deliciously seasoned i could not stop eating. I tried the fish pajora for my very first time and it was soft and bready and well seasoned. I will definitely be coming back every time I travel here for work.“

“I love Nick the Greek! My go-to order is the Nick Fries and the Chicken Gyro Pita — there’s just something about the flavor that always hits the spot. It’s seasoned perfectly and consistently delicious every time.

I’ll even DoorDash it to my house when I’m craving it, but when I’m in the area, I like stopping by to eat inside. The restaurant is always clean, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the service is fast and efficient.

“One of my favorite pizza spots in WC, even though I’m not the biggest fan of Detroit style pizza their flavor combinations make the pizza amazing. The wings are hella good and the garlic fries are always on point. They don’t have regular soda in the store but do carry craft soda and some beer. The service is always very friendly but I’ve only done take out so can’t review for those eating there. The ambiance of the store is very clean and modern. I only saw one bathroom inside the store, with the sinks being outside of the actual bathroom. Overall have been back there multiple times and will continue to come back.“

“About the best thing in Martinez.. not counting the Glorious Gals of Hilda's Pleasure-O-Rama out on Hardback Ave is the soon to be world famous Lucia's Craft Sandwiches! I was in Martinez dropping off the Spindler's Rotomiser for my 48 Pearson Applehorn to the boys over at the Monkey Ass Garage because they claimed they could realign the wobbler shaft without tearing it up. Well, I had some time to kill so I went straight to Lucia's Craft Sandwiches and had some pretty spectacular sandwiches.

“Vinnie's is an East Bay gem.

The pizza is authentic - thin, Brooklyn-style dough and tremendous red sauce. You can tell they use quality ingredients, and they don't skimp on the toppings, either.

Whenever I order takeout, I always order some meatballs, too. They're packed with flavor, light, and come with a generous serving of their delicious marinara.

Vinnie's also has fantastic handmade desserts - both their tiramisu and cannoli are fantastic.

Oh, and they make REALLY tasty garlic knots as well. You're going to want 2 orders, trust me.

I'll also add that the staff and owner are super friendly, generous people. They've donated gift cards and t-shirts to my daughter's school auction multiple times, and are genuinely kind, caring folks. Vinnie's will forever be my go-to to-go pizza place!“

“This establishment is always quick with their service. However, expedited efficiency doesn't make up for the packaging mistakes. The last 3x I've visited this specific location there has always been a discrepancy with my order. Not a completely wrong order, it's usually minor mistakes; waffle fries instead of yogurt fruit cup, or pickles vs NO pickles. But they've always corrected it expeditiously & with genuine apologies. I will continue to patron this establishment, but unfortunately will always feel the need to inspect my order before driving away. Plus, I'm not a fan of how they have laid out the drive thru lanes.
Overall:
My advise for the management, please have employees double check orders & specifics, prior to handing it to the customer. This in the long run will save $ & time overall.“

“FoodieLand created a mango sticky rice problem… and I’m not even mad about it. 😭

After shopping in Hercules, BB and I decided to stop by Taste of Laos because I’ve been craving mango sticky rice ever since FoodieLand. I had seen some really positive Yelp reviews, and after this visit, I can confirm the reviews aren’t wrong.

We started with the Prawn Blankets, which are seasoned prawns wrapped in a crispy wonton-style wrapper and served with jeow som, a sweet and tangy Lao chili dipping sauce. There are five to an order, and they were absolutely delicious.

Of course, the main reason I came was for the Mango Sticky Rice. I asked for extra coconut sauce (because we’re not doing things halfway around here 😭), and it came with fresh mango slices, pandan sticky rice, sweet coconut milk, and sesame seeds. Everything was perfectly balanced, sweet, and incredibly satisfying.

The service was exceptional. The ladies working in the dining room were warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind.

I told them I’d be back often because of my newfound mango sticky rice obsession, and I wasn’t kidding. In fact… I may have ordered another one to go. No judgment, please.

My favorite sandwich is the Italian, though I've tried most of the menu, and everything has been good.
