The owner and servers were incredibly kind and friendly, making us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for throughout our visit. The food was delicious — every dish was flavorful, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared. To top it all off, they surprised us with a celebratory toast and a song for our anniversary, which made the night even more memorable and special. That personal touch meant so much to us. We will definitely be back and highly recommend Baxters to anyone looking for great food, amazing service, and a truly special experience!”

“Had an absolutely delicious Sweet & Savory burger (blue cheese, fig jam, bacon, arugula patty, bun), garlic fries, and fried zucchini. Would highly recommend, especially after a day of shopping and sightseeing in historic downtown Benicia. Perfect way to end the day!

Only downside was not enough napkins available for us to grab and tables were a tad sticky.”

“It is such a beautiful little place. It has a cozy atmosphere. The food was fabulous. We had a party of 13. We had a wide range of delicious food. Lamb ..Chicken Filet Mignon.. Mussels .. Prawns... “Cute little cupcake spot. The cupcakes here are absolutely wonderful! We've been here a few times and have ordered cakes from here as well. Sweet and tasty cupcakes with lots of flavors to choose from. They do serve coffee and cookies as well 😋 🍪. Whenever we are in the area we like to grab some coffee and cupcakes and walk down towards the water where we like to sit amd enjoy the view while munching on some delightful snacks from Fox and Fawn.”

“My wife and I stumbled into Drift for the first time last Sunday while spending the weekend in Wilmington for a comedy show I did. Absolute great coffee and a fantastic brunch. Bought a bag of beans for home, and the coffee I’ve had the last two days is out of this world. The coffee is rich and flavorful. I can’t wait to get back to Wilmington so I can go to Drift. “I ordered several meals, sides, and desserts to be delivered and everything was perfect. The items were packed very well, nothing spilling or leaking, and everything in the containers looked as good as if in the restaurant, with dipping sauces, garnishes, etc. The food was Delicious! The mango dessert was so fresh and tasty. Only $55 and the portions are so hearty it's enough for 4 people, with leftovers!”

“Best vibes for sure! Met Westley who told us about the place during a visit to Napa, and we're so glad we stopped by! It happened to be 80s prom nigh, and it felt like the entire little town of Benicia was there to party. Young to old. Everyone was all smiles, dancing, and courteous. The live band was top notch. Bartenders were personable and attentive. It had a real small town, close knit feel. Everyone knew and loved Westley. Nicest guy. We didn't try any food, so no notes there. Hopefully we'll make our way there again someday.”

“Just had my 3rd dining experience this morning and all 3 breakfast meals have been fantastic! As a person on the carnivore diet, I find it refreshing I can order an all protein meal and be completely satiated without paying an arm and a leg. Eggs were scrambled perfectly and the bacon was delicious. And who could have thought a simple burger patty could taste so good. Must be a magic griddle! Highly recommend! Oh, and service is amazing. My Americano was tasty!”

We arrived close to closing time, and Loki kindly let us know they were done cooking but were happy to serve what was still available. Even with our group of 16 people, there was definitely enough food for everyone, and we even had leftovers! They were very accommodating, which we truly appreciated. I also didn’t realize they now serve Filipino food, which was such a pleasant surprise. If you’re craving boba and Filipino dishes, don’t miss this cute little spot! 😊”

I've seem em ALL, and this place folks, is truly a great place to share a drink with locals and out of towners, tucked away in the Benicia Tannery Building, with outside seating (smoking area) overlooking the Carquinez Straits .. .. AND ~ The owners are absolutely the BEST .. .. "A Must Place to Go" .. ..”

1.) They’re so popular they always run out of fish!

Overall, the magic they create in a food blows away a majority of the local restaurants.

“Definitely my favorite place for Chicago style hotdogs and hamburgers in Solano County. The polish with grilled onions is the best and you can take it into Cullen's Pub next door so you can have it with a beer on-tap. Seating both inside and outside with plenty of free parking on the streets of downtown Benicia. Don't forget the french fries.”

The food was absolutely delicious! The mango margaritas are hands down my favorite, they're perfectly balanced, refreshing, and the perfect complement to the meal. The chile rellenos plate was incredible, with flavorful peppers, delicious filling, and just the right amount of sauce. Every bite tasted fresh and homemade. Reminds me of my mom's cooking. I will definitely be coming back for the flavors and feeling of home.”

“Very comfortable and open space here! You don't find that at many Starbucks these days, drive-thru or not. (this location is not a drive thru) Staff is very friendly, timely, and make a really good drink. I don't go to Benicia often but I want to start coming here more when I do go.”

“Great service team at this location. They've done the best they can with a small parking lot, tight drive thru, and closely-spaced buildings. On the busiest mornings around 8am they often have a Barista outside taking drive thru orders. This genuinely helps the flow of traffic and speed of service for drive thru business. Not the service team's fault: Leaving the parking lot is very difficult due to a large outbuilding which houses their dumpster, turning it into a blind curve exit in a tight driving lane.”
