Izakaya Reviews
I took a chance and ordered off of doordash. I was so happy and satisfied. I ordered the titanic, eagle and Seared Scallop maki. My only complaint was the lemon had seeds and was very fibrous but the food was so good.
My family and I come here about once a month, and it never disappoints. We love ordering the salmon belly, lomi lomi, Philadelphia roll, and trying other rolls depending on what we’re craving. Everything is always fresh and delicious, and the staff is consistently warm and friendly. I absolutely love this place. Having come from LA, where there are so many great sushi restaurants, I can honestly say this spot measures up. I’m so glad to have such an amazing local establishment...read full review
Good food however one of our tempura sauces had a broken top which caused it to leak all over the tempura resulting in soggy food. Dishes need more or larger containers of sauces to accompany food. Not enough sauce for katsu chicken.

Izakaya is a restaurant that offers a unique dining experience, with varying reviews on the quality of the service and food. The restaurant can be quite busy, making it lucky to secure a seat, and they offer an Omakase course which has been highly recommended. The Omakase course consists of at least 7 courses and can last for approximately 2 hours. Customers enjoy the selection of fresh, exotic fish for their nigiri, which has been a highlight for many. Service during the Omakase course is praised for being attentive and friendly. The price of the meal is around $75 per person, excluding drinks and tip.
The small dining area is cozy and doesn't feel crowded, with quick and friendly service. Some visitors find it a bit hard to find, as it's down the side of a building up a few stairs on the deck off the sidewalk. Orders are often large servings, and the seafood's freshness is appreciated, despite some reports of loose rice on the sushi. The toro roll has been mentioned as a highlight, and the sashimi is considered very good. However, there have been concerns about cleanliness, with reports of a dirty floor, grime on the walls, and unappetizing sushi rolls that are loose, with a strong smell and warm, mushy fish. The seaweed used for wrapping has also been described as chewy, making it difficult to chew and swallow. Some dishes like sukiyaki may be overcooked, but overall, the food quality varies.
Overall, Izakaya offers a unique dining experience with their Omakase course and fresh seafood, but there are concerns regarding cleanliness and food quality.
