“A Magical Night to Remember!

From the moment we stepped into the California Magic Club, we were transported into a world of wonder, laughter, and warmth. Gerry Griffin and his incredible family have created more than just a dinner theater — they’ve created a home for magic, joy, and human connection.

The food was delicious — with thoughtful vegetarian options that truly impressed. The atmosphere was intimate and welcoming, and the entire evening was a perfect blend of world-class close-up magic, interactive stage illusions, and heartfelt hospitality.

The magicians were not only incredibly talented, but also warm and engaging — each bringing their own style of mystifying brilliance. I was lucky enough to be invited on stage to assist two of the masters. Despite watching their every move with eagle eyes, hoping to catch even the tiniest slip, I came away with nothing but awe and admiration. Their sleight of hand was flawless — it was like trying to catch the wind.

Thanks to these artists of illusion, life itself feels a little more mysterious — and all the more beautiful for it.

Gerry and his team aren’t just professionals — they’re genuinely kind, passionate people who clearly love what they do. It’s rare to find a place where entertainment and sincerity meet so beautifully. We laughed, we gasped, we tried to figure out the illusions — and failed wonderfully.

This was more than a show — it was an experience we’ll carry in our hearts for a long time. Thank you to the Griffin family for making our evening so magical. We’ll definitely be back — and bringing friends!”

“I lost count of how many times I’ve come here - they never miss. The menu is familiar but enough unique items to stand out amongst all of the other AYCE sushi OR hotpot restaurants around.. oh and did I mention they offer both.. get this - for the same price ? come visit, you won’t regret it!”

“I was hungry and decided to give this place a try. They did not disappoint. I ordered the heart attack omelet with hash browns and I left full. It took the waitress using both hands to bring me a plate, keep that in mind when you order. The portions are generous but not excessive, and the food is excellent. It's so good I even got an order of biscuits and gravy to go. Between the omelet with hash browns, the biscuits and gravy, and 3 glasses of tea my bill was less than $40. If you're ever in Martinez and want a good breakfast or lunch you can't go wrong with this place. The staff is on point, the food is worth writing home about, and the atmosphere will give you a good pat on the back.”

He is full of nutritional knowledge and good vibes. Very much looking forward to getting my health back on track with his plan. “Hands down the BEST Subway in our entire area. I eat subway almost every day for lunch and since I drive all around from discovery Bay to Vacaville to Berkeley to Alamo. I can definitively say this is the best subway. All staff is fast and friendly and they are always properly staffed (unlike some other subways). Their produce is always fresh and properly cut with no freeze burns (again unlike some other places). They also do not price gouge like some other subways litterally minutes away charging 30% more for no other reason than greed. My respect goes out to the owner of this particular franchise for maintaining the highest level of quality and standing out in a large franchise chain!”

Chiara was on top of the whole process: it’s not often when you can tell someone is really listening to the specs and asks the right questions (as well as super courteous). The kitchen then hit it out of the park….and I’m one picky old lady!”

“We got eggplant in garlic sauce and veggie egg foo young. It was tasty and the portions were big. A little more sauce on the eggplant dish would have been nice, but we liked all the mushrooms and crunchy veggies in the dish. Will go here again for takeout.”

Parking: Lots of parking, but many walk there. Service is wonderful. Coffee and scones are consistently great! Favorite Starbucks by far!”

“Everything here is great. The food is amazing, they are fast and super friendly. We get take out from here at least once a week. The only thing I have an issue with is the prices. We like the crispy chicken tacos. Before today they were $1.99 and the chips and salsa came with our order today I got 12 tacos and the cashier asked me if I wanted chips and salsa, I usually say no even though they are free because we don't eat the Chios but for some reason I said sure why not and my order that usually comes out to $26 and some change cost me $39. That's a $13 increase in price. Which is what 50% more which is insane. I'm good. No thank you.

Parking: There is parking but the direction of the spaces are odd. There is always parking though
