“I love this little gem I stumbled upon on Pacheco Blvd, Martinez. My chicken burrito was very good and the 2 little bundles of fresh lime wedges and sauteed red onion w chopped jalapeño were a delicious surprise. I gambled on a small clamshell of Salvadoran cookies and I had to make myself stop eating them. Everyone who has tried them, likes them. They're not very sweet, which I like. Their jamaica is possibly the best Ive ever had.I look forward to my next trip to Martinez just to eat here again.“

“They’re made to order $1 Taco Tuesday is a tradition in my house! That’s also because our cook (me) gets a break. Everyone in my family loves Taco their Tuesday, even my dog knows what “Taco Tuesday” means and gets excited!

Their tacos are great, very authentic Mexican street food-style. Casual. Limited seating; mostly takeout.

Not strictly Gluten-Free because they have wheat-based flour tortillas or bread for burritos and tortas. So, dicey for celiacs.

Vegetarians should be fine, vegans OK with rice, beans, and tortillas. They can do veggie tacos and tortillas, just like in Mexico, except, there, every is Taco Tuesday.“

Second of all, this place is so consistently good, fast, and great value for what you get. I got a burrito (which admittedly is making me fart so hard rn) and it was extremely delicious. “I came here because someone recommended it. The place was clean, and the food was good overall. It took about 20 minutes to get my burrito, which wasn’t a big issue, but it came uncut and with beans I didn’t order. The red salsa was really good.

The only downside was that the A/C wasn’t working, and it was very hot inside, which made it uncomfortable. Other than that, the food was good. I’d give this place another try.“

“Taqueria La Plaza is a neighborhood gem!

My husband and I love walking here for lunch: He usually gets a burrito and I go between enchiladas and a breakfast burrito (which is offered ALL DAY!). There are so many meat choices! They throw in a bowl of chips and unlimited access to their salsa bar. I also enjoy their aqua fresca or horchata on occasion.

You can eat indoors or outdoors (both covered and sunny tables), or take your food to go.“

I got a tripa burrito and steak burrito, both are good in my opinion. I believe I've been here before and tried the tacos. Fast service, they accept cards or cash. Plenty of parking, beware of your surroundings as oftentimes a lot of suspicious people walking in the area.“

“Love the salmon and my new fav is the dynamite shrimp bowl!! Rice cooked perfectly, shrimp are perfectly cooked and just the right spicyness and bright flavors to perk it up! Delicious! I walked in mistaking it for Vallejo Brewing Company right after they closed for the night, but the menu was so enticing I had to come back during business hours!

The red beans and rice with Cajun shrimp is an INSTANT comfort food go-to, and not to start drama, but a certain barbecue place on the block could learn a thing or two about making amazing cornbread from this chef! The perfect, fresh baked, sweet and buttery portion of cornbread I've had since my mom's recipe.

The $7 cocktail special was also amazing, not too powerful but not so watered down you couldn't feel it!

The gal working the counter was sweet as can be both times I've been in as well.

“I tried write my review through the survey on receipt but it wasn't working.. So I wanted to share my experience here. I came in the morning and ordered breakfast sandwiches, unfortunately I was disappointed with the eggs being over cooked and just not tasting as they normally do. I called right away and spoke with manager Sarah, she assured me that I could come back in anytime for replacements. I've heard this before from other places without any resolution but I figured I'd give them the opportunity to make it right.. I took them up on the offer after school pick up, except I really wasn't in the mood for eggs after the bite from earlier, employee Alexis went way above and beyond to make things right for us! Giving us even more than what I had asked be the replacement! Besides being very thrilled with the food given, I was even more impressed with Alexis, her attitude and understanding really made my day and the kids were happy with extra fries and nuggets she gave. We enjoyed our meal inside, and on the way home we passed a hungry man and his equally hungry dog, we had our fill and we were able to feed them as well. Good karma making its way around I guess, felt good being treated kindly and to pass the kindness along. Thank you Sarah, Alexis and the rest of the crew for treating us so amazing today! Almost like back in the day crispy and lettuce with sauce. It's the Lil things that make us our break us. Thank you for making things right.
