“I’ll give it 4.5 stars. It’s a chain sandwich spot. Bread was solid. Sandwich was good and hit the spot, but it’s not earth shattering. Staff was courteous. Come here for a solid sandwich. It feels very corporate-sandwich-shop-ish inside so I ate and left. I was wondering how this place earned 4.9 stars and found the note on the tables where they offer a free gift for a review. I am personally not a fan of that, so I wanted to share. Overall a solid chain sandwich spot.”

“Solid brunch spot. Food was good, huge portions, and the option for bottomless mimosas. They have some good vegetarian options including an impossible patty. No reservations allowed, but you add your name to the check in list. Took about 30 minutes to get seated for a group of 4 (we arrived at 11am and were seated just after 11:30). We were seated in an outdoor tent that was a bit hot from the sun (no ventilation). Friendly servers and they were definitely busy. Were prompt on refilling mimosas though! “Ok so first, the food was absolutely DELICIOUS, AMAZING, TERRIFIC, and so much more. Second, once you have ordered your food it will come in 15 or less minutes! Third, once you come into the restaurant, (you may have to wait in a line) the hostess will ask you for your name and phone number, if you want to be seated outside or inside, and how long the wait time is (about 20 minutes). Lastly, you should definitely consider coming to Jack's if you're feeling hungry! (They serve breakfast until 2:00pm and lunch all day.) PS you HAVE to try the Mac and cheese!Vegetarian options: You could get the omelet (which is very good) if you are looking for something that is for vegetarians.Kid-friendliness: The hostess would ask you if you want a kid(s) menus. Plenty of options on the kids menu.”

“The first 5 times I went to this place it was great. The last 3 times I've gone here there's been something wrong with our order. The last two times we ordered super burritos the cheese is never melted. Just a big lump of cold cheese in the middle of the burrito. Also we seem to have gotten really overcooked carne asada meat. It was like chewing on leather. Our orders were to go so we didn't notice until we got home. Hopefully they shore up their problems in the kitchen. I'll still go back and order their food.”

“I'm a proud torta snob and my BF and I have been on the hunt for a good one for ~6/7 years. On a whim we found this pace and love their tortas so much we don't order anything else for fear of missing the torta experience too much. We get the carne asada specifically and it's perfection. The bread is soft but slightly grilled so there's a nice crunch. The meat is ALWAYS cooked well, sliced thin, and flavorful. The veggies are fresh and the pickled jalapeño adds a kick. The bonus is the homemade chips with the salsa - just so good. I've eaten at least 7 of them and the quality and taste is consistent. I think it's the bread, honestly, that takes this next level. I wish I could buy their bread in bulk. Also, we've eaten in the restaurant only twice and the main woman who runs the show is the nicest person with the biggest smile. She is lovely. The whole staff is great and always smiling when I see them, too. Overall just a great place with tasty tortas (and I'm sure great food in general) and kind people.”

“One of the best pizzas I've ever had! The crust is perfect and cheese to toppings ratio is perfect. They can even customize your pizza by doing half and half. Service is great too! Highly recommend this place.”

“Came with my son(5months) for a quick lunch. Got there about 40mins before closing. Right away you can tell this place is top notch. Everything tasted wonderful. I cannot wait to bring my boyfriend back for a dinner sometime.”

“We've been to Wisegirl twice and had great food both times. We sit in their open "alcove" next to the actual restaurant, which works great for us -- with one exception. Both times, when our food came, we still had no table settings. We had to wait, and in one visit, had to ask twice. They need to bring table settings when they seat you or take your order.”

“What an amazing addition to Pleasant Hill! First off, the service is wonderful. The man (whom I am assuming is the owner) is so nice/sweet. Second, there is actually parking in front for take out orders! Third, the food is amazing and portions are a good size! We ordered: 1. Shrimp rolls #1 -- fresh and yummy! 2. Bun Bo Hue #14 -- SO SO good!!! 3. Grilled Beef with Garlic noodles #33 -- SO good! My girls loved the garlic noodles 4. Grilled Chicken with Garlic Noodle #32 -- SO good! 5. Grilled Chicken Salad #23 -- my dad loved this salad so much, he finished the entire entree in one sitting. He Initially said he'd only finish half. The restaurant is very clean, and it's busy, so it sounds like this place has already caught on!”

“My friend and I visited for lunch on a Saturday and like other reviewers, appreciated that there were lunch specials on a Saturday. We both ordered the short ribs lunch special which included banchan side dishes. The short ribs were delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. The staff were super friendly and also checked back with us as to whether we wanted additional banchan. Restaurant was clean. We will definitely be back.”

“I’ve been waiting for a high quality, good tasting, family friendly brewery to arrive in the deep east bay ( Martinez, concord, Walnut Creek, Pittsburgh, Dublin etc) to drink at after our family outings in the area and it finally arrived. All the other ones were just not good beer or service.From my understanding this brewery is originally from Tracy and opened this as a second location and all I have to say is thank the hop gods it’s here. Large menu featuring all sorts of beers from IPA more malt flavored, and even traditional German,English, and Scottish.The inside is nice and the local area is very classy and safe. The inside can be a tight squeeze for families and kids but we always see other families there for my kids to play with as well as having a park/ fountain connected right next door and a little outdoor seating area.If you want food there is lots of options nearby that they will allow you to bring in or order on the app but they don’t serve it themselves.The staff is always friendly and has great customer service. This has quickly turned into one of my favorite breweries in such a short time. Highly recommend!”

“All pros, no cons. Tzunun is a great place to wear a collared shirt out to dinner, or go have a casual bite and drink. Their bartenders and cooks know what they're doing and the serving staff provide wonderful service.Small menu, but enough variety for a large party to all have a different experience.When you go, I recommend coming hungry and trying multiple items!”

“You know who the more seasoned servers are- I know you have to learn along the way but they call it shadowing for a reason. If you want to work, get great tips, pay attention, have integrity, and huddle. Get off your damn phone, refill drinks, cold plates come with the salad and always provide a pizza server with a hot pizza. Ask if the customer wants pepper or Parmesan cheese on their salad/pizza. Besides that the food is always amazing every single item. The seasoned servers know who they are and I always ask to sit in their section!”

“They have the best clam chowder and seafood sandwiches that you can get outside of Fisherman's Wharf. The soup and sandwich is just right. It's not a lavish dining area but many patrons get takeout. And if you have room for dessert they have got you covered. I think they have a multitude of local regulars, us included.”

“I attended a work function here. The room was quite nice. Very clean. Our bartender/waitress "Liz" was awesome! So friendly and helpful. The cocktails were tasty and so was the food. It was a plated dinner with hors d'oeuvres. My NY steak was perfect! Huge portion and tender. My family and I will be back for a regular sit-down dinner.Wheelchair accessibility: There are two entrances. One in front and a larger lot in the rear of the restaurant. Both are wheelchair accessible.”

“This is one of my husband and mine's favorite breakfast restaurants. It is cozy, the staff is friendly and treat you like family, and the food is absolutely wonderful. The portion sizes are huge, and it's always tasty. Better than homemade. I highly recommend this restaurant.”

“Went out for lunch with 3/10/24 Sichuan is located in a quiet area. Outside, no wannabe macho men making vehicular racket. Inside, no misbehaving parents training their children to be noisy neighbors. My not so clean daughter had Some Nerve to complain about smudge in her teacup. The waiter explained that "the cups are clay and the tea stain is impossible to remove". I'm thinking of calling it tea patina maybe? The service and presentation was Fine, Almost Everything tasted delicious. That interesting Szechuan spice yummy umm. Moist pork shoulder with crunchy and chewy skin oh yes.. Lip numbing tofu squares pressing sweetly on my tongue! Save me! Take me back for more! Ok I'm getting carried away but it was a very good meal and worth 60 miles on the odometer. Almost all the dishes were perfect. The only complaints? The potsticker wrapper was a bit chewy. Also the Walnut Prawns were conspicuously short on walnuts and one son wanted more sweet sauce on them. I found them refreshingly not too sweet. Check out the pics. “We are diehard fans of Okini Sushi, since they were located on Pleasant Hill Rd. We always get a Chicken Katsu or Teriyaki Dinner Bento & a roll, or a bowl is Chicken Udon soup. I don't think there's any 'bad' order here - I also love their hot green tea (flavored with toasted rice).Service is exceptional; this is one of the local places I'd love to see around for decades.”

“We've been here several times now and really enjoy how flavorful the food is. Even our young kids really like it. My favorite are pretty much anything that's spicy, the hot sauce they use is delicious. My daughter likes the brisket and pretty much fills up on that over a rice bowl.My only complaint is how expensive it is. So we only go on special occasions or when we have the extra money for it.Atmosphere is beautifully lit and we enjoy sitting at the booth seating.Kid-friendliness: We bring our kids and they enjoy the food and helping on the grill.”

“This is our go-to Chinese restaurant in Pleasant Hill - we've only done dine-in and service is fast and friendly, while the food is always delicious. I'm a big fan of their salt and pepper options, as well as their kung pao chicken. Their crispy glazed chicken is tasty too. Great lunch specials too - you get your entree and rice, along with a cup of soup and your choice of salad or spring roll.”

“I only come to this location for the lunch specials with my family on Sundays The resturant is in a quiet shopping plaza near the sun Valley mall. The ambiance is a dark room with the lights off the entire time. Staff doing utensils in the same room as the customers. Some weekends are busier than others. This past weekend, there is no one in the dining room except for me and my family. Staff is usually attentive to our family needs. For less than 20 dollars, we got salad, hot and sour soup, and our entre. Today I got Mongolia three ways with chow mein. It was a large portion and brought leftovers home. Much more worth it compared to a small plate at panda express. Overall, I enjoy this place ALOT more than the food options at nearby mall. If you want good meal for the price, come for the lunch specials between 11 am to 3 pm.”

We both ordered different dishes with shrimp and enjoyed them. The belly dancing was fun and we all got to dance and be involved as much as we wanted. I recommend that you make a reservation for dinner and check when the belly dancer will perform. We brought some cash to tip the dancer. She was amazing! “Came for the Deluxe Breakfast and is always a pleaser. Ordered at the kiosk with a number for table service, and they told us we had to pick up our food from the counter. Not sure if this is new. The bathrooms required a combo so couldn't access the cleanliness. The exit can be confusing as it is next to the drive-thru. The coffee always seems to be missing the sugar or sweetner.”

“There is another starbread location in pittsburg ca. I personally like this location more than the pittsburg one. Location: the location is in a shopping plaza near sunvalley mall and diablo Valley College. The same plaza with happy lemon. Parking is easy to find in the area. Ambiance: smell of Filipino seniorita bread and baked goods fill the space. However, there is no chairs and tables. It only has space for the tables and chairs. Food: you don't need to travel to Hawaii to eat a good masala. Starbread has a variety of deserts like seniorita bread, mochi donuts, Filipino style donuts like bichu bichu. And masalas. Credit card is accepted if the order is more than 7 dollars. The ube msalas is delicious. Overall, come to this place if you miss Hawaii and want to Try filipino baked goods for a reasonable price.”

“I feel like this review is going to be unfair, because last time we had an out of this world experience. First visit. The restaurant was completely empty. An older gentleman suggested an amazing slow braised meat in curry. It was so tender and tasteful beyond description. We waited a while for that dish. Others in my party praised the food as amazing as well. Second visit. We tried to get that meat braised in curry and received a beef version of curry chicken. Now it wasn't bad but it wasn't amazing. The food us still pretty good, but after that first visit, it's really hard to compare anything to the flavors we tasted. So, I am going to still give it a 4 stars eventhough I feel that there has definitely been a change in taste and flavor.”

“The seafood combo plate with short rib is the best Hawaiian BBQ I've ever had! My second time here and they are beyond my expectations. I am always kindly greeted and served my food in a timely matter. The restaurant is clean and tidy. Such generous portions, seasoned perfectly, cooked well, and high quality food. This was my first time trying the spam and egg musubi and I appreciate it so much that they offer this. I've been to other Hawaiian BBQ spots who don't serve spam and egg musubi despite having the ingredients for it! Good move on L&L Barbecue for making the best of their menu. One of my favorite places to get good quality food in the East Bay. Please stay this amazing forever!”

“I attended a work function here. The room was quite nice. Very clean. Our bartender/waitress "Liz" was awesome! So friendly and helpful. The cocktails were tasty and so was the food. It was a plated dinner with hors d'oeuvres. My NY steak was perfect! Huge portion and tender. My family and I will be back for a regular sit-down dinner.Wheelchair accessibility: There are two entrances. One in front and a larger lot in the rear of the restaurant. Both are wheelchair accessible.”

There’s a section with two pool tables and shuffleboard arranged with a dozen recliners along the wall in front of the big screen. Parking is well lit and right in front.Check it out.”

“The Manager and the staff are absolutely amazing. Every time I walk in there I get such a friendly welcome with smiles. The food is out within a couple minutes, so nice so friendly, so sweet I love them all so professional. The place is always clean. They will come every single person that walks in the door. “The first 5 times I went to this place it was great. The last 3 times I've gone here there's been something wrong with our order. The last two times we ordered super burritos the cheese is never melted. Just a big lump of cold cheese in the middle of the burrito. Also we seem to have gotten really overcooked carne asada meat. It was like chewing on leather. Our orders were to go so we didn't notice until we got home. Hopefully they shore up their problems in the kitchen. I'll still go back and order their food.”

“I'm a proud torta snob and my BF and I have been on the hunt for a good one for ~6/7 years. On a whim we found this pace and love their tortas so much we don't order anything else for fear of missing the torta experience too much. We get the carne asada specifically and it's perfection. The bread is soft but slightly grilled so there's a nice crunch. The meat is ALWAYS cooked well, sliced thin, and flavorful. The veggies are fresh and the pickled jalapeño adds a kick. The bonus is the homemade chips with the salsa - just so good. I've eaten at least 7 of them and the quality and taste is consistent. I think it's the bread, honestly, that takes this next level. I wish I could buy their bread in bulk. Also, we've eaten in the restaurant only twice and the main woman who runs the show is the nicest person with the biggest smile. She is lovely. The whole staff is great and always smiling when I see them, too. Overall just a great place with tasty tortas (and I'm sure great food in general) and kind people.”
