My go to place for sushi and sashimi. Always fresh, good portion sizes, reasonably priced, and excellent service!

Kobe Japan provides a compelling teppanyaki experience that bridges theatrical entertainment and culinary substance. The shrimp is expertly prepared with a perfect texture, and the fried rice is a standout side. The Caterpillar Roll is executed with precision. The filet mignon is tender and perfectly cooked with a deep, full flavor. Fried mushrooms are so good they could be a side dish. The salad with ginger dressing and hot bowl of onion soup are perfect starters. The atmosphere is vibrant and family friendly, designed for celebratory gatherings. The staff is highly proactive in honoring birthdays. The service is top notch, though sometimes a little slow when busy. The chefs do a wonderful presentation and put a good show. Plates are very generous portions. However, some reviews note the quality of beef, chicken and shrimp has gone down, and the yum yum sauce was watery and tasted awful. The eating area was hot, and local fans were noisy. The sides—soup and salad—were underwhelming. It is a bit pricey for what’s offered, similar to Benihana, but still an okay option if craving hibachi. Parking is limited.
