Take a look at our favorite Pleasant Hill Mexican restaurants.
“I'm a proud torta snob and my BF and I have been on the hunt for a good one for ~6/7 years. On a whim we found this pace and love their tortas so much we don't order anything else for fear of missing the torta experience too much. We get the carne asada specifically and it's perfection. The bread is soft but slightly grilled so there's a nice crunch. The meat is ALWAYS cooked well, sliced thin, and flavorful. The veggies are fresh and the pickled jalapeño adds a kick. The bonus is the homemade chips with the salsa - just so good. I've eaten at least 7 of them and the quality and taste is consistent. I think it's the bread, honestly, that takes this next level. I wish I could buy their bread in bulk. Also, we've eaten in the restaurant only twice and the main woman who runs the show is the nicest person with the biggest smile. She is lovely. The whole staff is great and always smiling when I see them, too. Overall just a great place with tasty tortas (and I'm sure great food in general) and kind people.“
“If you really want to have elevated Mexican food and a good drink or drinks. I would not hesitate to come back to Tzunun. I consider this place to be one of the top, if not the top Mexican restaurant in the bay. And that says a lot about me coming from San Diego. Because most Mexican restaurants here are just ok, I mean just OK. Ok, they are not that good. I'm glad I found this one.“
“Hands down THE BEST Mexican Restaurant in Walnut Creek, CA! Service was exemplary! Food came pippin HOT! Never had to ask for anything. Our server was on top of her game!!! Things to try when you go next time: Build your own omelet is superb; i ordered spinach, mushrooms, avocado, and jalapeños. Hubby loved his breakfast chicken burrito. Our son had the pancakes combo! Relatively great portions! And ample free parking! The cook is excellent and gives great recommendations. The staff is very polite and friendly, they make you feel like family! Now what more do u need than ALL that?! Go check this small business out, kitty will not be a waste of your time or tastebuds! Thanks for reading!Vegetarian options: Must let your server know your requests. They are pretty understanding and accommodating. Just ask.Kid-friendliness: They have a section for kids. Which is a win-win!“
“Have driven by Taqueria P-Hill since they opened, made the mental note to "go there!".After tiring of many unmemorable street tacos around P-Hill/Concord, I finally went here to give it a try. I kept it simple, ordered two El Pastor street tacos. Super nice Amigo took my order and then proceeded to load up on fresh salsas to try + spicy peppers/carrort/onion/potato side. Order served, which was a perfect serving for me. I tasted each salsa they offered that day. Settled on the mango salso for the El Pastor.....reminded me of tacos I ate is Sayulita, Mexico. I know I gave this a 5-star rating for my single dining experience; however, the rating stands because my nit-picky personality wants to return again. We are lucky to have local business like Taqueria P-Hill. Drop in and give them a try. I will for sure!“
“Food was tally tasty and filling. We're were served quickly. My friend ordered a Margarita and said it was the best she's had in a while. Also, I was dining in, but also placed an order to go. Our waitress didn't muss a beat and brought out my Togo order when she brought the check.I've also been here for Sunday brunch. Great taste and selection.“
“Long time favorite! Haven't lived near there in 20 years but make a point to stop anytime we drive through town. The (old no. 19) burritos are tasty and filling! The crispy taco just the right crunch and flavor! Friendly service! Happy to get to stop by Pacheco before it's move... classic spot!“
“They have a taco truck in the plaza in front of the pleasant hill bart. I went on a Tuesday night and got 5 tacos. They were so good and pretty quick too. I tried one of each meat, and they were all delicious. I will definitely be going back.“
“The first 5 times I went to this place it was great. The last 3 times I've gone here there's been something wrong with our order. The last two times we ordered super burritos the cheese is never melted. Just a big lump of cold cheese in the middle of the burrito. Also we seem to have gotten really overcooked carne asada meat. It was like chewing on leather. Our orders were to go so we didn't notice until we got home. Hopefully they shore up their problems in the kitchen. I'll still go back and order their food.“
