“OMG 😳 The Ceviche (not counting my wife’s handmade ceviche) is the best I have ever tasted, and I’ve tasted a lot of ceviche. It’s soooo good. I had the Mango 🥭 Avocado 🥑 Shrimp 🍤 Ceviche it was like an explosion of flavors in my mouth, I couldn’t stop eating it. Great tacos 🌮 everything was beyond my expectations. I have probably walked by Puesto’s a hundred times but not anymore it will be my restaurant of choice when in Concord you have to try it. Sorry no picture of the Ceviche 😋“

“This place is WAY TOO GOOD!! Everytime i go through Concord or stop in Concord i have to stop here everytime! I’ve had probably half their menu by now, and i’ve not had 1 bad dish. Definitely a must stop place if you want authentic mexican food with atmosphere that feels like home away from home.“

“The family atmosphere is what hooked us. We used to go here maybe once or twice a month before the pandemic. Since they reopened, they are closed on Monday’s, our usual day so it’s been 3 years since we’ve been there. They still recognized us though! We ordered as we walked in so the wait wasn’t long at all.“

“I drive to the Concord location from Antioch because I don’t feel safe walking dogs or running errands in Antioch. I tried several other restaurants for burritos before settling here. Great chili verde burritos, always hot, fresh, pinto beans upon request, really nice people. Cinco sells enchilada sauce for people like me who like to make a tray of enchiladas at home to eat for a couple of fays. Reasonably priced.“

“I've been going there since I can remember (early 80's). Family owned and operated. Great family! Great food!“

“If you arrive early you can find fresh barbecue and belly plus a consommé with chickpeas that is not very greasy but very tasty.

It seems to me that it is the flavor that is closest to the original Hidalgo barbecue and that it is sold every Sunday in some places in Mexico City or on the roads that lead to the city.

The service is a little slow because they have a lot of people and they have a musical group which I don't know if it's a good idea for a Sunday morning. But in general they have good service and good food.“

After going back many times, El Faro's in Concord has been consistently excellent. Their chips, salsa, chicken burritos, and service has been flawless. I ordered online, and they were ready for me.

Excellent restaurant, best breakfast burritos I've had in this area, fantastic boiled red sauce chicken (far better than everyone else in this entire region), and fantastic service. Great people and great food.“

“I ordered the mixed tacos with shrimp, fish, chicken, and chorizo. I really enjoyed the chicken and chorizo tacos—the seasoning was great, and the combination of meat and vegetables was delicious. The crispy tacos were especially tasty, and it’s nice that you can choose that style for all of them.

The shrimp tacos were good, but for my taste the shrimp were a little chewy and could have used a bit more seasoning.

Overall, the tacos were delicious, and I’d definitely recommend this restaurant. The place was clean, with enough seating for a group of four or at the bar. The staff were super friendly and happy to help with the menu.

They have accommodated my entire family (18 total) a few times and are always flexible with us, which we all really appreciate! The service is fantastic! This last time was for my mother's birthday and they stored the cake we brought with us AND brought it out for us out of the box with the candles burning. 🎉 So sweet! (I don't know if they do that all the time, as it wasn't during a busy time. 😉)“

“First time eating here. There's a lot of parking and approximately ten tables. Most people were ordering food to go. The place was pretty busy. It's nothing fancy, nice decor and a big kitchen. The staff were all friendly. My wife ordered two quesebirria tacos with comsomé. I ordered the taco plate 3 tacos)with two asada and one al pastor. It came with beans and rice. My teenager ordered 4 tacos, two asada and two al pastor. The beans were to die for. So much flavor. The rice was delicious as well. The asada was bursting with flavor and the al pastor... well, it was as delicious if not better than the asada tacos. My wife loved her quesebirria tacos, but felt the consomé was a little on the oily side. They did bring a small thing of chips and salsa after we ordered and sat ourselves. The chips were freshly made and all 3 of the salsas were delicious, although my least favorite was the green one. I'll definitely be back and try other things on the menu. They are definitely worth a visit.“

It packed quite a wallop but was overshadowed by the sweetness. 3 out of 5 ⭐️ I toyed with the idea of Pato Chicharrone (duck cracklings) with pickled red onions and aioli. A different twist on an old-style recipe. The ratio of fat to meat was divine in its flavor, and the onions and aioli set off all the flavors. 5 out of 5 ⭐️ Next was the Bruselas (crispy Brussels Sprouts) tossed in honey Dijon with pistachios! Sí!! Bravo!! Each sprout was cut in half lengthwise, and the layers were opened so the flavor permeated the entire piece of sprout, yummy! Nice touch and not too sweet. It was served a little cooler than what I would have preferred. 4 out of 5 ⭐️ Both tapas were generous portions and served as my meal for the evening. I ordered the Beet Salad to go. It’s done with mixed greens, roasted beets, red onion, feta cheese, almonds, with lemon vinaigrette on the side. I had a sneak peek and it proves to be delicious and so darn healthy! 5 out of 5 ⭐️“
