“03/05/24- craving for ramen and decided to try this ramen place right here at Martinez! Place is on the area of Wal-Mart. Plenty of parking. Went here to try their ramen and some other dishes. You can seat anywhere. Ordered Tonkatsu ramen no spice, grilled squid and beef and shrimp plate. The tonkatsu is great, not oily, has fresh ingredients and good amount of noodles. There's always add-ons if ever you needed anything added on the ramen. The grilled squid seems to be a bit overcooked as it was a little rubbery, but can be eaten still. Sauce was on the side when you order this. The beef was tender and tasty and best of all grilled enough to have perfect sides of cook time on the edges of the meat. The shrimp was small but ok. Portions are big and can be shared by two. Service by Vivian was excellent! She tends to needs and not bothers the customers while enjoying their tasty meal! I saw people coming in to pick up orders. Prices are fair enough for the quality and taste of the food. Will be back to try more of some great menu here. I thought this place was new as there's a Grand Opening sign, but was told that it's been around for about 3yrs. How could I have not known this before? Thanks to Yelp and Yelpers that I had discovered this! See you soon and thanks for being a part of the community here!“
“Most of the traffic that came to the store was for pick up, as far as I could see, so be prepared to wait a while to get your order filled or even to be called for ordering. BUT, if you can wait that long, the filet mignon sandwich will make you feel it was all worth it!“
“I normally see Martinez from the water while going somewhere other than here or there to plunk little things in the water in hope of catching bigger things. But, today I have been sent on a mission, a mission of mercy, that's right Pilgrim, a mission of mercy for babyback ribs from the Slow Hand BBQ in Martinez. My old pal Fiddycal Bigbore is going down for the count because his tubbutt squeeze went and sold his fishin boat when he wasn't lookin! And, he ain't going to do nothin because she's as mean as a poked bobcat! But he's gonna get even by eating a batch of babyback ribs from the Slow Hand BBQ, and he's not sharing with her! Fiddy says they're the best BBQ ribs ever! And I gotta pick um up because he's to upset about the boat. He got his bones, and ate them right in front of Tunia and she was spittin fire! I'll tell you, I wouldn't have missed it! And those babyback ribs....he said they were Amazing! ☆☆☆☆☆“
“Korean BBQ Plus in Concord is a haven for lovers of authentic Korean cuisine. Their bulgogi is a delectable blend of savory flavors, tender meat, and perfectly balanced marinade. The gal bi tang is a comforting delight, rich with hearty beef and aromatic spices. This place is a definite go-to for anyone craving comforting Korean food that hits all the right notes. With attentive service and a cozy ambiance, Korean BBQ Plus truly delivers a satisfying dining experience“
“This place is a long time favorite of mine. The BLTA and egg sandwich is amazing. Sad that lately they stayed up charging for every little thing like extra mayo and crunch, which have always been included in the already high price before.“
“This place is hidden in the cuts but worth the drive for some good barbecue. From the freeway exit N/B 680 it's only one turn right turn a maybe a 2 minute drive. From S/B 680 it may be 5 minutes more if that. It's kind of hidden but there is a big sign you can't miss if you're looking. They have a small parking lot and take orders through the screen door. There is outside seating and tables if you choose to eat there. I placed my order after looking over the menu outside and my food was ready really quick. The 2 way combo was $25 which was understandable and reasonable for the portion sizes and inflation. My only gripe may be on what they consider potato salad which was more like a loaded baked potato. The flavor of the chicken and ribs were delicious. The ribs were tender and neither were burned or over cooked. I also like that they put the barbecue sauce in containers for you to add to your food as you like. The Mac and cheese was pretty good too but could have used a bit more seasoning to it. Otherwise I like this place and the staff are very nice as well. Oh yeah, they didn't have the lumpia that day“
“My friend and I visited for lunch on a Saturday and like other reviewers, appreciated that there were lunch specials on a Saturday. We both ordered the short ribs lunch special which included banchan side dishes. The short ribs were delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. The staff were super friendly and also checked back with us as to whether we wanted additional banchan. Restaurant was clean. We will definitely be back.“
“Both of us had breakfast. As one would probably expect, the very best part of the meal was the bacon. It was delicious. My wife had apricot pie and really enjoyed it also.Parking: Free parking lots in front and back plus paid street parking.“
“We were doing some holiday shopping, got lost of time & forgot to eat until we realized that it was almost 3 pm. Plus 82 really hit the spot. They make your staple Korean foods served in huge batches and everything was delicious. We got their Japchae, rice, Bulgogi and kimchi. It's refreshing to see properly prepared mall food these days.“
“It's Kinder's it's good, convenient location right off the highway. I get the Classic Ball Tip or the California Chicken Club, it's always good. I wish they made it easier to order sides on app though, you can get them with a meal (but you have to get two different ones from a list) and sometimes I just want a pint of Mac and Cheese but I hate asking them to add it to my order when I go in to pick up and they're super busy. (Which it's Kinder's, they usually are)“
“God bless you Back 40.My wife and I have two kids under 4 years of age and going out to eat is always a challenge. We’re always on the lookout for places we can enjoy where our kids can blend in and not ruin other people’s dinners. My threshold for a good night out is very low… somehow after debating for an hour where we could go that was also a little nicer for us we ended up at the Back 40.From the moment we walked in the service was out of this world. I don’t know why the host, the owner, and the wait staff were so attentive. It was honestly jarring when coming from places in Oakland. The host seating us made sure to have coloring pages and crayons on the table before we sat down. A small gesture that went a long way in my book. Our waiter made sure to have kid sized cups with tight lids immediately. Which helped us be better guests because our kids weren’t freaking out. Once again a small thing that most places don’t think about. They also had a section of booths with several other kids so we weren’t ruining anyone else’s night who didn’t want to be around rug rats. Love it. They also had a great kids menu. Love it. One of our kids had allergies and this place was great to give recommendations and know what was safe. Love it.Besides the kids they were very attentive with our needs and almost spooky fast with everything we requested. The food as always was so good. I got the Texan Trinity which was way too much food but I loved every bit of it and had plenty to bring home. Also the price was super reasonable for everything we got.Tonight could have been tough but instead it was a joy. For that I’m super grateful for the Back 40 for that.“
“It's always busy in a good way. Fans provide a natural white noise barrier for each table. You will smell like smoke when you leave. Sides are well done. Cheese corn comes in larger foil containers now. Once it's empty it works wonderfully as a lid to cook the meat. Burners get hot quick so best to cook on low. Be prepared to play with the flame.“
“We’ve tried Gracie’s a handful of times and it’s consistently good BBQ! Normally our order is the Texas brisket and rib combo plate with double mac and cheese. The price is really good for the quantity and quality. The brisket is consistently juicy and tender, definitely a favorite and the food is never lacking in flavor! Highly recommended ?.“
“This is hands down the best BBQ in Vallejo only wish they did beef ribs and imo he needs more help because man the wait sometimes is crazy I think one time it took me close to an hour to get some food and I'm not complaining because this food is great just thinking about 15-20 minutes is a good waiting time id even go 30 anyway bring a chair“
“Very cute local BBQ joint with excellent food and friendly staff. The food is very quick compared to other places like it and the prices are super reasonable. The restaraunt and bathrooms are well-maintained and clean, offering a very welcoming experience.Dietary restrictions: They offer several gluten free sides like the German potato salad.“
“Had my first experience here last evening. Was unsure of what to expect as it was also my first experience with Korean BBQ. I was told weekends were busy with over an hour's wait, so we tried a Monday evening. Arrived at 6:30 , was seated by 6:35. Waiter was pleasant, thoroughly explained how things worked, and the feast was on! This is an "all you can eat " restaurant, and they limit you to a two hours. More than enough time to get omg full. The food choices are plentiful and everything was delicious. The place is well decorated, well decorated, and ventilated (as you cook your meal on a grill in the center of the table, that has a cool vent over it). Wait staff was very attentive. The menu has a lot of choices, and It is moderately priced, I had a great meal. A side note to parents of young children. Think about a sitter. For a couple reasons. Your 3 year old is probably going to be a handful here. As well as a hot grill in the middle of the table, there are many small side dish "treats" as well as several dishes that rotate around the table. A couple are pretty spicy. I'm looking forward to my next visit, and will be bringing friends.“
“The seafood combo plate with short rib is the best Hawaiian BBQ I've ever had! My second time here and they are beyond my expectations. I am always kindly greeted and served my food in a timely matter. The restaurant is clean and tidy. Such generous portions, seasoned perfectly, cooked well, and high quality food. This was my first time trying the spam and egg musubi and I appreciate it so much that they offer this. I've been to other Hawaiian BBQ spots who don't serve spam and egg musubi despite having the ingredients for it! Good move on L&L Barbecue for making the best of their menu. One of my favorite places to get good quality food in the East Bay. Please stay this amazing forever!“
“Berkeley Students' Best Bang for the Buck! New Management Brings a Fresh Culinary Experience!Hello everyone! Today, I want to introduce you to a restaurant located in Berkeley that used to be relatively unknown, with mediocre food. However, now, with new management taking over, it has undergone a remarkable transformation, making it the go-to place for Berkeley students in terms of value for money! The restaurant's name hasn't changed, but the owner has, so make sure to remember the address!First, let's talk about the prices. At this restaurant, $100 can easily satisfy two people with an abundance of delicious dishes! Whether you're a student or a working professional, this price point is incredibly budget-friendly. What's more, the quality of the food has seen a significant improvement. If you're a fan of spicy food, then this place is an absolute paradise for you. Their spicy hot pot and hot dishes will not disappoint. Moreover, if you feel it's not spicy enough, you can request extra spice, and they'll tailor it to your taste.Overall, the changes at this restaurant are truly astonishing. Whether it's the taste of the food or the affordability of the prices, it's hard to believe. If you're a Berkeley student, this place is undoubtedly the king of budget-friendly and nearby dining options. Don't miss out on this opportunity; hurry up and give it a try!“
“I worked with Willy to cater our holiday lunch in December. I cannot believe the food and service we received. Willy went about and beyond with delivery and product. The chicken and pulled pork exceeded our expectations. And the staff at my office is still talking about the quality of the food.Don't forget about his homemade sauces. One of the people that had it said it was the best "Sweet Heat" sauce he's ever had. That is saying something since he has sampled BBQ sauces all over the country.I would highly recommend Chilly Willy's to anyone.“
“This food joint might be located in an unassuming spot, but you do not want to overlook this place! The interior is big, clean, and nicely decorated. Lots of seating options available. When I came with my family, we were helped right away. There is a variety of food and drink to choose from on the menu: bowls, combo plates, ramen, specialty drinks, etc. I was craving a classic BBQ chicken plate, and boy did it hit the spot. The meal was fresh and warm, and the chicken was cooked to perfection. The grilled veggies, rice, mac salad, and sauce paired well with the chicken. I also got spam musubi, and that was delicious too.Overall, the food was great, the service was amazing, and I will definitely come back here whenever I'm in the mood for Hawaiian BBQ!“
“I have to be honest with this spot, and to tell you the truth, you could actually this same kind of food anywhere. It didn't actually stand out as unique other than the fact that they have a varied menu. It's definitely serviceable and if you're hungry for a quick bite it's a decent go to. Maybe next time I'll try the ramen.“
“I love it when recipes don't change! I use to go more frequently growing up in the 70s and Barney's was there to satisfy my BBQ urges!! I visited here last week with my twin bro and we each ordered the usual, double order of spare ribs!! Oh my....you gotta try!!!!“
“Hawaiian place that plays Mexican music and staff is all hispanics. I cant complain, one of the better hispanic/ hawaiian places nearby. Cultures are close enough to have the flavor down. Food came out decent. Nothing special inside ambiance wise. They charge an extra 4 percent on top of the price if you don't pay with cash. Place looks like an old boba place in the past. Very friendly staff“
“Ball-tip sandwich is soo good. Only reason I dinged the service is they can be really busy and the way the service works it can take a really long time to be served. But the food is worth the wait. I suggest calling your order in ahead of time.“
“Service here is deli style where they take your order and then you pay for it when its ready. This location is friendly and inviting with plenty of tables to sit and enjoy your meal. Here's what we got on the table: Tequila lime ribs half rack with brown sugar tater tots (5/5) - fall off the bone ribs and the bbq sauce compliment the flavor, tater tots were given their own special orange sauce which is sooo good! Ball tip sandwich (5/5) - the tender meat compliments the the soft bread and the bbq sauce that come with it. Best location by far.“
“This is my go-to for Thai. Regardless of what youre looking for the flavors here are near perfect. The restaurant is clean and the service is always great, fast and friendly. The selections on the menu are wide and everything is fresh and adequately seasoned. If you like your food on the spicy side dont forget to ask for their spice caddy to bring all the flavors together for the full experience. Recommended dishes would of course start with their shrimp fresh rolls, the lemongrass or ginger chicken, any of their curries, the pad eggplant if youre trying to be good and definitely try the duck or the crispy trout if youre not. Would I return? Any chance i get.“
