“About the best thing in Martinez.. not counting the Glorious Gals of Hilda's Pleasure-O-Rama out on Hardback Ave is the soon to be world famous Lucia's Craft Sandwiches! I was in Martinez dropping off the Spindler's Rotomiser for my 48 Pearson Applehorn to the boys over at the Monkey Ass Garage because they claimed they could realign the wobbler shaft without tearing it up. Well, I had some time to kill so I went straight to Lucia's Craft Sandwiches and had some pretty spectacular sandwiches.

“I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and there were only about 4–5 people in line. The place was clean and well-kept. I ordered a ham sandwich on a soft roll, and it was made pretty quickly. The sandwich was fresh, delicious, and exactly what I was looking for. Great service and quality food. I’ll definitely be back to order another sandwich in the future!“

“Great deli / cafe attached to a catering business. Sandwiches are outstanding. Meat piled high and very fresh vegetables. Roll was soft and light, also.

The deli operation closes at 2:00 pm daily and is closed on weekends. But in-between that, you can get a great sandwich here .

They have housemade salads of all types, incl pasta etc. I didn't try them but will - they all looked great

And, it is one of the few places to sit down and eat around here that doesn't try to shake a tip out of you at the cash register before even trying the food.
