“I frequent this Subway often, because it is near my home. The employees are always warm and pleasant. However, I have to give this location a four, because they do not accept Subway coupons. Why?Individual's and people with families always want to save a buck; especially during these COVID times. In addition, I would enjoy it also if I was greeted with the special of the day/month and consistently offered money saving meal values. It happened once for me, but not for my husband. Here's an example: One orders two 6inch tuna sandwiches and charged for the value of each; rather than offering it to a person for the value of a 12inch when it's the same meat and neither of them have charging add-ons..Furthermore, it is often that a person already knows what they have a taste for, but if it is not made available at the time of ordering that there's a special running or it would save you money if you do this or do that; especially when the establishment does not accept Subway coupons; otherwise, customers would not know. It would actually be a win win for the customer and establishment. The establishment will get more customers because they can depend on your employees letting them know about specials and savings. “Oh man I love sandwiches. I used to travel to find good sandwiches. Lucias craft sandwich is amongst the best sandwiches I have had the pleasure of eating, globally. Seriously. And they are BIG. I usually buy a big one and eat it for lunch and dinner. So the sandwichology here is top notch. True to their Italian roots the come heavy with an herb olive oil vinaigrette, reminds me of Lorenzos in Belmont. The ingredients are fresh and flavor full. I have tried a few sandwiches here now but the Apple wood Smoked is something to write home to ma about. The apricot with the Italian herbs and the applwood ham blend with the focaccia and fresh veggies to give you a sweet, tangy and smokey flurry in your mouth. Will eat again.“

“This is one of the few Subway restaurants that follows strict sanitary guidelines. The place is always clean and inviting. The best part is they don't skimp on toppings and follow the company's guidelines for a great sandwich. You can feel the vibe that they care about customer service and will go out of their way to make it right. They have a clean restroom available on request for customers only. “I've seen this place hyped up on social media as one of the best chicken sandwiches out there and had to give it a try.

Got the szechuan chicken sando, the turkey salami and the sesame chocolate chip cookie. Does it live up to the hype?

The short answer is not really, at least in the chicken sando arena. It's a good chicken sando, it could absolutely do with some more pickled flavor, it's a little one note, I'd love the slaw to be pickled to break up the flavor. The bun is excellent, but the sandwich should be $5-6 cheaper, it's almost $20 and for what it is, while good, is simply not worth it when you can get extremely good chicken sandos all over oakland for much cheaper. Again, it's tasty, probably a one and done for me.

The turkey salami was kind of the star. Great bread, big sando (has to be for almost $20), you can tell it's a quality sando. Would I make a habit of getting sandwiches this expensive? Absolutely not. But it's worth trying and is very good.

The cookie was pretty good, room temp but managed to still have gooey chocolate. $7 is a lot for a cookie but it was tasty and not gonna gripe. Seems like a standard choc chip cookie tho, didn't really get a sesame flavor or see any sesames.

The staff were hustling and this place was doing a lot of business so clearly everything is going right. It's a take out only spot and they have a line so be prepared for that.

TLDR- Is it good? Yes. Is it a must try? No. Is it worth trying? Absolutely. Does $50 for 2 sandos and a cookie in oakland feel like highway robbery? A little bit.“

“Eunice Gourmet Café is a hidden gem! The coffee was amazing. I tried The Ash sandwich and was completely blown away fresh ingredients, perfect flavors, and honestly one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. I’m more than willing to drive the extra distance just to have it again!

“Since high school, I’ve been coming here for over 10 years, and the food has stayed consistently good. The sandwiches are the real standout, but my go to orders are the Hood and the Turkey Bacon Avocado. Whenever I’m in the area and hungry, this is one of the first spots that comes to mind. Solid sandwiches, generous portions, and that neighborhood spot feeling you can’t fake. Definitely a go to in Oakland. Highly recommend!“

One time they put too many jalapenos in my sandwich but honestly i prefer that to not enough spice level. Black sesame coffee is great too, although expensive. Perfect sunny day lunch spot.“
