“We visited Alameda in April to attend a celebration of life for a family member that we lost suddenly. Our family was in town from all over the country, and we found Cafe Jolie Petit near our hotel. They took such great care of us, fed us meals on three or four consecutive days, and we could not have asked for better service or food during an emotional time. Pastries (Koiugn Amann!), Monte Cristo, and the coffee bar were our favorites, but everything we had was delicious. We hope to be back for happier circumstances at some point, and definitely will return!“

Very dog friendly place that raises a lot of funds for local charity. One of the owners, Chris, is often around welcoming everyone and may give you free samples!

They have a small bar inside with a new reading nook, and upstairs has tables and high tops. Local clubs happen upstairs, like Magic the Gathering.

Nice outdoor picnic tables. No food though (just snacks), so check out Heschers for Detroit pizza or Original Pattern for Napolitan pizza.“

“Trader Vic's is incredible. Excluding the historical significance to Tiki, the food is delightful, and the drinks even more so. The ribs are the best I've had (and I'm from Kansas City) and any drink with smoked pineapple is to die for, the Mai Tai is of course wonderful too.
