Trader Vic's is incredible. Excluding the historical significance to Tiki, the food is delightful, and the drinks even more so. The ribs are the best I've had (and I'm from Kansas City) and any drink with smoked pineapple is to die for, the Mai Tai is of course wonderful too. Staff was attentive and helpful, and portions were sizable for the price, and everything was delicious. Wonderful ambiance and selection of barware. Excited to be able to come again ❤
Excellent retro tiki experience. Food is quality as well and a nice array of offerings to choose from. A fully overwhelming amount of cocktails 🍸 to choose from as well.
Emeryville Marina views and prettiest cocktails anywhere. Telma was gracious and just overall amazing. We shared a burger and some appetizers

Trader Vic's is a tiki bar and restaurant known for its wonderful views and ambiance, looking out at the water with views of the Port of Oakland and the marina. The place is elegant casual and a lot of fun. The dinner can be decent overall, with dishes like a salad with lettuce mix, tomato, artichoke, hearts of palm and Japanese dressing. Entrees include the miso salmon that’s pan seared salmon with chimichurri and grilled bok choy, or delicious miso salmon over garlic mashed potatoes. Other options are the sliced New York strip loin, mahi mahi, and tuna poke bowls. For dessert, the dulce de leche cream brûlée tastes great. The bar serves great drinks and cocktails like the original Mai Tai, Polu Puffer, and the Bumbu Hunter, which has four kinds of rums. It can be a perfect place to celebrate a family birthday. However, some note changes over time, where dishes were a-miss and the value for items was not up to expectation. There is convenient parking, though you now have to pay to park. Service is often friendly and exceptional, contributing to a great experience that has kept people coming back for over 40 years.
