“Trader Vic's is incredible. Excluding the historical significance to Tiki, the food is delightful, and the drinks even more so. The ribs are the best I've had (and I'm from Kansas City) and any drink with smoked pineapple is to die for, the Mai Tai is of course wonderful too. Staff was attentive and helpful, and portions were sizable for the price, and everything was delicious. Wonderful ambiance and selection of barware. Excited to be able to come again ❤“

“Inside was clean, I got the beef mini meal and replaced the macaroni salad with rice, the food cane with rice, bbq beef, and vegetables (cabbage and broccoli) the food was so good that I picked out the broccoli and ate it on its own, and I hate broccoli, so that shows how good it was“

The poke itself? So ono. Fresh, flavorful, and totally legit. You’ll find classic Hawaiian-style fish alongside “mainland” toppings — because, as the owner said, “you gotta give the city what it wants.” But don’t worry, purists — the foundation is all Hawaii.

“A nice Hawaiian spot in Alameda. Plenty of parking in the parking lot. I got the loco moco with fried rice, my wife got the kalbi loco moco, and my son got the keiki hamburger sliders. We washed it all down with POG to complete our meal. Nice friendly staff. Bathroom is clean.“

“I’ve always ordered the teriyaki plate with Mac salad and did order something for others and this place makes the best Hawaiian teriyaki reminded me of the flavors back home on Hawaii and there is a Moku’s back home and I appreciate the food from Moku Berkeley! I used to come here all the time when they first opened in 2017.

Their portions are big enough to feed 2 people, and I always grab the sauces to go.

Their Hawaiian BBQ Chicken plate is just as delicious as I remembered. I used to always get the Chicken Katsu as well.

“Amazing spot! The menu was very clear about dietary restrictions, and the fact that it’s an entirely gluten free establishment made me feel very safe in ordering. Portions for the bowls were fantastic (yay leftovers for lunch the next day!), and shout out to the many dressing/sauce options available. Finding gluten free teriyaki sauce AND vegan ranch to dip their delicious cauliflower wings? A major win!
Only caveat to note is the cookie dough potion is quite small for the price, but I do love to support Sweet Loren’s when I can.
Overall, so happy to have found this spot, and will definitely be ordering from here when I’m visiting Oakland again!

The chicken is laying on a bed of rice. Prices are higher than Ono Hawaiian BBQ, and portions are slightly smaller. But it's delicious food and served fresh! 4-stars.“
