“I'm sorry for this my beloved cellarmaker but it's finally time for a review and I must take off a star for just finishing the saltiest slice of pizza I've ever had in my life. Took me an hour to get through it, even though it was good.

I've been patroning this location ever since moving to this fine City and honestly the pizza quality has gone down over time. The chefs have become totally salt-blind. And they make the wildest pizzas I've never conceived of. They need to tone it down a little bit. Make pizzas people enjoy.

The pizza in question tonight had olives, capers, anchovies, and garlic. High sodium was expected, yes, but not like this.

Easily the saltiest olives I've ever had. And the anchovy texture was horrid. Today I learned I do not like my anchovies baked to a dry leather. Fresh-out-the-tin for me only, from now on. I think I've had enough salt for the whole week!!“

Enterprise Brewing Co Brewery •
1150 Howard St, San Francisco

“Small brewing and bar operation.

Walking in it looks a bit industrial, rustic and impersonal with a concrete and brick motif but give it a minute and it turns out to be a warm place with friendly people and a great guy pouring a nice pint.

Shout out to Jesse Hayter! Bartender – creating a unique and individual experience for every patron… the relaxing atmosphere helped us connect with a couple of others, an architect from the neighborhood, a guy reading a book…

They play vinyl records on a DJ deck … mostly “oldies” of some sort and leaning country bluegrass during our visit. They have a good selection of 45s and albums for sale, including pre-packaged “mystery” packages at reduced prices.

Bar seating of 10 or so, plus four high top tables inside. There’s a window bar to stand inside or on the sidewalk. They are located just down the street from Frisco Choppers, so occasionally you need earmuffs when a big chopper heads down the street.

Local and friendly patrons, plus a friendly bartender and good beer make this a great off-the-radar stop.“

“I'm not the biggest fan of beer but this place offers flights! So it's nice to try before you commit to a beer. They also let you sample before you buy which is great. I ended up drinking there wine which was decent! If you walk up the hill there cute shops to eat and such. You can then come back and finish drinking!“

Woods Lowside Brewery •

“Fabulous spot for interesting wine and beer and if your timing is right, great food! Even when the kitchen is closed, non-sold out empanadas are fabulous. We were early on a Sunday afternoon and the picnic table filled patio was mostly open. Later, lots of duds came in with their people. Diverse clientele both human and canine. Inside room is spacious plus bar seating. Very friendly service. Would be my hangout if I were local. Each bathroom has a cool character, good TP but not a fan of locker room brown paper hand towel dispensers. Grade A, bathroom B, over all, A-.“

“As someone with Celiac disease who *loves* beer, I was thrilled to find Otherwise Brewing. They have the biggest selection of gluten free beers that I have found yet. I enjoyed getting a flight and sampling several of their beers. I really enjoyed the pale ale, the IPA and the stout.

Staff was very helpful, too. Thanks for a great visit.“

Standard Deviant Brewing Pier 70 Brewery •
1070 Maryland St Ste 195, San Francisco

“We came to the new Standard Deviant at Pier 70 (second San Francisco location) to celebrate a friend's birthday, and much like my previous visits, I was pleasantly surprised by how vibrant and busy the space was. It makes complete sense. The venue is absolutely tailor-made for large groups, and it’s incredibly kid- and dog-friendly.

The Space & Vibe: The architecture here is stunning. Built with sleek modern styling and reclaimed steel from the historic shipyard, the massive accordion doors create a seamless indoor/outdoor flow. With its high ceilings and exceptional natural light, the interior is beautifully sun-soaked, catching a perfect light breeze right off the bay. It delivers those scenic waterfront views while maintaining the distinct, welcoming design language that Standard Deviant is known for.

The Beer & Service: The team handles the crowds beautifully. Service was fantastic, fast, and friendly. As for the drinks, the beer selection is incredibly refreshing, featuring a great lineup of diverse, true-to-style brews.

Verdict: This brewery is a phenomenal addition to Pier 70 and an absolute go-to spot in the city for casual group gatherings, great design, and excellent bay-front beers. Highly recommended!“

San Francisco Brewing Co. Brewery • $

“The Ghirardelli Square is quite the busy tourist spot. But with shops and breweries like these around, why wouldn't it be? Tourists and visitors from all over the world have stopped by to visit this area and buy a beer or other refreshments to relax. Despite the crowds, the staff here are constantly busy but always polite and helpful to visitors, from what I've seen. The menu has a decent amount of drinks, at higher prices but to be expected in a tourist area. We spent an easy 2+ hours exploring the square, and would recommend stopping by San Francisco Brewing Co!“

“Friendly and attentive service. Very prompt and proper. I know its in an airport, but still its a bit pricey. However I'm sure thats because of the city we are in.
The pizza was very good. The crust had the perfect amount of char and chewyness. I do wish they had a Margherita style though. The garlic fires were meh. I like that they came out fresh from the grease and that minced garlic was used. The downside, not a lot of garlic, no salt and too much use of parsley.“
