The special was Beef Wellington, so we had to try that too. The beef was so tender. It's hard to get a ressie, but it's well worth the wait.“

They have a variety of drink selections and a decent food menu options, including some vegetarian-friendly dishes. Service was 10/10! The girl who was helping us was friendly and patient with my friend, when she was struggling because of her English. All of us had a great time here. Inner Richmond is not the most difficult neighborhood to find parking for in the city, but it can still be a hit or miss. Recommend people to just Lyft/Uber/Waymo.“

“Really nice atmosphere here, way beyond you usual bar or beer garden. The owners work here, chill dude who seem to know half the guests here (at least for the World Cup). The popcorn chicken was the best I’ve had. Superior food to other bars. Also nice to be able to sit inside or outside as the bar opens up large windows. Huge beer selection of course out of a nicely designed tap system.“

“So… this is sort of an SF institution for beer in SF, having had craft beers now for a tad longer than some of the more trendy, upscale bars and pubs that seem to come and go now all too frequently. Basically, if you call yourself knowledgeable about SF bars and haven't hung out here a few times you ain't nuthin. Having been around a lot longer than a lot of now hipper places, The Sycamore promises a concentrated evening of beer or boozing in the evenings, while the back (and now Covid street!) patios can be packed, particularly when the sun is out and/or the nights are warm. The ambience and vibe is that of a local place to come drink, the bartenders and owners generally know their stuff, keeping an eye on the neighborhood and the guests in the manner which they deserve. In general, the Sycamore can be an excellent refuge from the cold, a place to cogitate the meaning of it all alone , or to go with a small to large group of friends who want a tight grungy night out. Coat-tails and gowns are a rarity here, so much so that I have vowed that are some point in my life that I'm going to get dressed to the nines and hang out there for several hours… just to see if I get a stern eye from the bar! 🤨🫠🤨😇🤨🤭“

“What a great setting, friendly staff, nice ambience. Our drinks were good, our appetizers, especially the short rib bites, were outstanding. Our main dishes, however, were ok but not all that terrific. Our waiter was excellent in every way except for his recommendation for the pork chop. I've sworn off ordering pork dishes because they so often turn up dry. This one was a big, meaty, beautiful chop which had been cooked just a minute too long, just long enough not to be juicy. One of us got the summery pasta dish, which wasn't much better. The chicken caesar salad was very very good, so as far as recommendations go, we would point you to that dish. Everyone was wonderful and warm, the location was great, the drinks were wonderful.“
