“I threw my partner a birthday party here and the staff went out of their way to make everything easy and fun. They were incredibly busy because of an event in the Mission and yet still checked in on our party and provided whatever we needed. In addition to their huge awesome patio, they have good food (not just good for a bar) and really good cocktails. They have free live music on the weekends. Always a good time. Highly recommended. I’ve never had a bad time here.“

Humble Sea Brewing Co. Beer Gardens • $
39 PIER UNIT N-111-1, San Francisco

“Humble Sea Brewing Co. absolutely lived up to the hype. The bartender took the time to pour us a few samples until we found the perfect fit, and that kind of hospitality immediately sets the tone.

The winner for me was Slipknautical, their hazy IPA. If you’re a hop fan, don’t miss it. The Citra hops absolutely shine, bringing bright citrus with a soft, juicy finish that convinced me to order a full pint.

As good as the hazy IPA was, the biggest surprise came from a 5-ounce taster of Kookie Nightcap. This 13% bourbon barrel-aged stout is brewed with Oreos, marshmallows, vanilla, and coffee, and somehow every flavor works together without becoming overly sweet. I’ve enjoyed a lot of barrel-aged dark beers over the years, and this was hands down the best I’ve ever had. They absolutely got this one right.

The setting doesn’t hurt either. Grab a seat at the bar overlooking the marina or outside on the waterfront, then order tacos from next door and they’ll bring them right to your table. Great beer, incredible views, and tacos? That’s a winning combination.

I don’t usually include photos of brewery merch in my reviews, but even there they nailed it. The shirts and designs are every bit as creative as the beer.

Pro tip: Beer fans, don’t pass this place up. Outstanding service, phenomenal beer, a beautiful waterfront setting, and a relaxed atmosphere make Humble Sea an easy recommendation. You earned a new fan, and I’ll be back every time I’m in San Francisco.“

“Biergarten is a truly atmospheric spot right in the heart of San Francisco. The place captures an authentic German vibe - communal tables, lively energy, and that unmistakable beer garden spirit.

The food is delicious, perfectly paired with an excellent selection of German beers that are fresh, flavorful, and served the way they should be. It’s the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy great company, and feel transported straight to Europe without leaving the city.

If you’re looking for a fun, authentic experience with great food and outstanding beer, Biergarten is a must-visit.“

Barebottle Beer Garden at Salesforce Park Brewery • $
Salesforce Park 4th Level, 425 Mission St, San Francisco

“Incredibly cool spot to grab a beer. I love that it is positioned in the park. There are lots of seating and people enjoying. It helped that the weather was immaculate. There is no indoor seating it’s all picnic style
I tried the Yosemite Pilsner, which was actually really delicious. Flavorful for a super light beer. Perfect for a spring day.
My brother got the Hef and was equally happy.
Didn’t try the pizza.
The line can get long on weekends but the wait is worth it. If I worked in nearby offices I would probably come here on my lunch.“

“Great spot. Always a solid mixed crowd. Chill environment and way less of a frat party then the marina they have my favorite drink on their menu! Hope they never get rid of the paper planes. While the wait can be a thing I’m fine with it when the drinks are always very good and the prices are right for this quality, def keeps me coming back“
