“YESSSSS. Nearly perfect. I’m from NJ. I grew up on NYC and Philly Italian delis and boars head delis everywhere. I believe that access to a respectable deli is a basic human right. Yet every deli on the west coast manages to screw up a very simple staple food item… the sub, the hoagie, the grinder… whatever you wanna call it. NOT brothers deli. They have a solid list of ingredients and allow totally custom sandwiches. They have semolina (sesame) rolls. They have mortadella, they let you order fresh mozzarella or roasted red peppers on your sandwich. They don’t try to put pastrami on an Italian sub. I could go on and on.

They. Do. It. Right. Period. Go and get you some!

For the owners: soppressata and hot coppa (capicola) would be epic additions to the menu. Please stay in business. I need you.“

“We often bring out-of-towners here because it's hard to find Laotian food outside of the Bay and Vientian Cafe always delivers. The menu is super extensive and very reasonably priced, so you can try a bunch of new things each time. We always get the nam kao and the lao sausage (which you can also take home frozen). Angel wings are also super addictive.

Food also travels well if you're looking for takeout. One of our favorite spots in the east bay!“

I had the brisket sandwhich combo with a potato latke and side of coleslaw. Came out to just under $50 for the both of us, not bad at all! Unique flavor profile, nice sized portions, and positive atmosphere. The food was fresh, place was clean, and the customer service top tier- the owner was there which was a bonus. “The small unassuming entry way will make you think you’re breaking into someone’s house but it’s perfect for that intimate feeling as well. Once you find the right door it’s a super chill vibe in a small space. The chef was preparing everything as we walked in and the server sat us down. The food was super fresh and the chef was very kind. There were 13 different sashimis served along with 6 additional courses of non sashimi items. Very nice service and amazing meal, left full and happy!“

“The burger is absolutely phenomenal! It was so fresh! The portion was good too, as the burger was not too big, but still very filling! I got their original double burger to be safe. I will definately come back for a signature when I’m in the area! Perfect size and amazing flavor!

I loved pairing it with ketchup and mustard! Wish for condiments they had relish and Korean bbq sauce too!
Also wish the had sweet potato fries!

And they have a little hidden oasis in the back where one can eat a crazy good burger & spiced fries.

We shared smoked brisket, smoked ayam lumpia, nasi goreng, rujak slaw, and macaroni goreng—just the right amount for three of us. The brisket was tender, and everything was flavorful, with the slaw providing a nice crunch. I'd definitely return!“
