This is the latest location to open up in the bay area making it the least busy as well. We rolled in on a weekday afternoon and were seated pretty quickly.

There are a LOT of cheung fun (rice roll) options here as well as plenty of congee and other appetizers. The pricing here was really reasonable for 2025 as well, with most rolls around $7 and congee hovering around $8. They don't skimp on the portions either.

For myself that follows a plant-based diet, I ordered their Vegetarian Cheung Fun, their Yu Tiao Cheung Fun, and the Veggie Congee (hold the egg shreds). Again, the portions here are quite generous and even one bowl and one roll would be enough to satisfy two people.

Their cheung fun quality here is really impressive. The rice itself is very silky and moist and the dipping sauce provided isn't overly salty either. The congee here was also delicious and really hit the spot for someone that loves eating rice porridge.

My mom even said that the cheung fun mirrors the quality she eats while in Guangdong. Mama seal of approval is a great sign.

Great experience with their service and excellent food makes this place another go-to the next time I'm back in the East Bay.“

My friend had the chicken sandwich which was so juicy she said she would need a shower after she got home.🤣 she had the lemon cheesecake and I had the plain. They both were delicious! “AMAZING. Loved the service and coffee. I ordered the Sampaguita latte with whole milk and it was the perfect blend of not too sweet, not too bitter, and balanced coffee-milk ratio. I find a lot of lattes to be too light on the espresso but they have nailed it. My latte was fragrant and bright with almost chocolatey notes after the initial floral scent.“

All out of the soft rolls. Had the Dutch crunch and I asked for it to be toasted which they forgot to do. Bread was cold dense and chewy. The rest was on point. No napkins in the bag though. So excellent drippy sandwich needs napkins. Plus no in place tables to sit at? That's why the less stars. I will try again though but I guess I will be clearer? Give them a try. OMG, Unbelievable sandwiches, smoked meats, homemade pickles, peppers🫑 and memorable pulled pork, etc. I hang out for a few minutes while Jerry makes my Cuban sandwich, and he has me try their smoked bacon, homemade meatballs, and more. “Hard to reserve seats at this 8 seat only Omakase behind an unmarked door in Alameda. Led by a quality, experience, and diner education obsessed chef who personally selects and imports most of the seafood from Japan.

It is a personally catered omakase bar service of very high quality. They also have a lovely sake selection.

“Originally, I thought this place was another establishment due to seeing “the melt” on doordash, only to find out it was actually Dennys. I am so glad that wasn’t the case.

I drove by and saw the storefront and had to give it a try. From the moment I walked to the front door, I smelled an awesome aroma. The place was clean, decor was nice and staff were friendly.

The food itself was AWESOME. Generous portions. The burger itself is almost like what you’d see in commercials. The garlic parm fries were super tasty, and not over seasoned. BBQ bacon burger was juicy, and full of flavor. I’ll definitely be coming back. I spent about 30 bucks, but I also got a double instead of a single. To the CEO or Franchisee, awesome job!“

I came all the way from Escondido and let me just say… I REALLY wish you guys had a location down south (please consider it!! 😂). My nephew and I decided to split a couple things, and I’m so glad we did because WOW.
First of all… the CRAB TOAST?! I’m in LOVE. The flavor and crunch are absolutely perfect — you don’t even need ranch or any sauce. It stands on its own and is worth every single “artery risk” 🤣🔥.
Then we got the loaded fries… and whew… just WOW. Packed with flavor, messy in the best way, and completely worth it.
Parking? Yeah, it kinda sucks… BUT trust me, it is 1000% worth the trip (and maybe the hospital visit after 😂).
Seriously though — please open a location in Escondido!! I promise we will be regulars!!

Got lucky and had the owner/chef there and gave wonderful recommendations, samples and the history behind his grandmothers famous rice and beans. Once in a lifetime experience. We left full, and excited to spread the word. This place is a must stop, you won’t be disappointed! The black building with the Puerto Rican flag on top makes it easy to spot.
