“This spot is a lot more informal and hipster than I thought. I wanted a cozy pub-type place with a comfy chair or couch where I could drink a beer and read a book and this fits the bill. I know it's a wine bar but as I'm not really a wine drinker I can't comment on the selections but I'm sure they're fine. Plus they play records on a mostly vintage hi-fi the whole time.
If you like wine, go here. They also have cheese and charcuterie plates and olives etc.
Groovy places like this are pretty rare on this otherwise fairly bleak part of San Pablo Ave. A welcome addition. Cheers!”

“This unassuming spot is our favorite Chinese restaurant in the Bay! My husband, who thought he didn’t like Chinese food, is now a convert.

The chili fried chicken is heavenly. The sichuan peppers bring a beautiful, floral aroma and heat to the fresh, crispy, juicy popcorn-style chicken.

The butterfly shrimp has a delightful garlic, savory flavor, slurpable noodles, and fat juicy shrimp. It comes piping hot on a pan.

“One of the best Korean Restaurant in town. I ate with my 2 friends, and we ordered the Rose Galbi Jim. I really liked the spices and the soup of the galbi, blended really well with the mozzarella cheese. Moreover, the texture of the tteokbokki was so soft and tasty. At the same time, the portion of the Galbi was so big, we couldn’t finish it so we took some back home.
the other best part was that you could refill the banchan. Would recommend you to ask more for the tofu and kimchi, really mouthwatering. the waiter and waitress were kind and friendly, they served you fast.
we visited the restaurant quite late in the afternoon, so we didn’t need to queue since there were plenty tables. the parking area was big too.”

It was a hearty crumb kind of reminded me of a sweet cornbread. I don't know if there's any corn used in the making of the cake though. delicious! Raspberry buttercream on top or in the center as I like to eat my cupcakes. I wouldn't get the biscotti again but maybe if they dipped them in chocolate :-) I'm so pleased I live close to a gluten-free bakery! They had several GF offerings when I went there”

Any time I’m in the area for work I’m coming here to explore more of the menu items. The chicken katsu curry came with a salad, miso soup, rice, and curry separate from the chicken. The hot tea was good too”

The pani puri was fresh and flavorful, the dahi puri was perfectly balanced and creamy, and the wai wai sadeko had the right amount of spice and tang. The goat thali was the highlight rich in flavor, well-cooked, and very satisfying. Overall, the food tasted authentic and fresh, and the experience was excellent. Highly recommend this place. It is family owned and run, and you can feel that in the way the place operates. The service is friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed, and nothing feels overdone.

This is classic Cantonese comfort food. Nothing flashy, just familiar dishes, consistently well made, and come in decently generous portions. It’s the kind of place people return to for years, even decades, because it delivers the same good experience every time.

In a time when prices seem to climb everywhere, it still feels reasonable, which adds to the appeal.

Aki-San will tell you when you’re eating something wrong, but it’s not mean-spirited. You should definitely ask him about his life and his journey to becoming a sushi chef. The sushi is the best you will ever have, even better than sushi I had when I visited Japan. It may be very expensive, but if you have the means it is extremely worth the price. Don’t ask for specific things, get what he recommends (but don’t be scared if you have diet restrictions to ask for something that works). Is is an amazing experience so if you go really enjoy it.”

“This is my favorite sandwich shop in the area. At least once a week or sometimes every other week, I get sandwiches here from me and my dad. We both love the sandwiches, especially the chocolate chip cookies. The staff is pretty friendly, nice and welcoming.
