We were 4 people and probably would have been full with just the large kalbijjim, as we had trouble finishing everything. Servers were really friendly and kept the banchan plentiful. Also, the kimchi was one of the better kimchi’s I’ve had. Great meal, I will be back!Parking: Large public parking lot across the street“

“This place is a ridiculous gem of a spot. Rather unassuming from the outside, but inside is a super focused, stylish and capable kitchen turning out a small menu of greatness. It almost goes without saying that this is not grocery store rotisserie chicken. You actually get crispy skin here, non generic seasoning and nosiness throughout. It's also served with fresh mint and cilantro, and all the chimichurri you can stand. The sides are impeccable with next level roasted broccoli and Brussels, both also served with herbs and bright sauces. All wrapped it up with really great service. Date night-level ambiance too! Only thing is you need to be ready for stinky leftovers because the amount of cruciferous veggies (cauliflower, sprouts, broccoli) you can get, but it's worth it.“

Lobster rolls are filled with generous portions of tender lobster meat and served on buttery, toasted rolls. The menu also includes other seafood options such as shrimp and crab rolls, chowders and salads. I find small shrimp roll to be very filling as a lunch option. Crab roll, based on other Bodega Bay restaurants I visited, is just ok. “Pho 2000 is a cute restaurant with two floors with kind and efficient service. I ordered pho dac biet (#1) small size and Thai iced tea. They also provide with hot tea when you first sit. The pho was okay. Everything was fine except that the broth wasn’t as strong as I wanted it to be. It was very mild which made it kind of hard to taste. I had to mix a bit of hoisin sauce into the broth to be able to taste it. The noodles were kind of overcooked and there wasn’t as much meat as I thought there would be. The Thai tea was delicious! Strong, sweet, and refreshing just how I like it. I had received both items in less than 10 minutes. This restaurant is a great lunch spot!“

“I was excited to try this Ukrainian spot since I realized it’s the only Ukrainian restaurant in SF. And even though the interior and vibe of this place is very simple (I’d say it’s more like an eatery) the food is really good and authentic. Our party of 5 was interested in trying everything they have to offer and it seemed to be feasible because the menu is not large. The only option we skipped was pelmeny (as their origin isn’t really Ukrainian). So the summary is:- Borscht 5/5 Very rich taste, tender vegetables and good amount of meat- Cabbage rolls 5/5 My personal favorite! Very juicy, good quality of meat in the filling and well cooked cabbage leaves- Vareniky (dumplings) 5/5 We got vegetarian versions (potato and potato with cheese) and love them. Delicate dough, well balanced filling.- Hand roll with mushrooms 5/5 Lots of filling, good thin crust- Beets salad 5/5 Fresh and zesty!- Syrniky (cheese pancakes) 5/5 Delicate and fluffy. Raspberry jam matched perfectly for them.- Honey cake 5/5 Moist and creamy. With the honey taste in layers.- Kompot 5/5 Bright fruits flavor, not too sweet- Beer good but nothing specialDefinitely recommend this place for the quick intro to traditional Ukrainian food.“

“A pretty good place if you wanna get some blended kind of pho, and I say this because it's not the same type of pho from a straight-up Vietnamese establishment. The owners here are likely just good chefs, who makes Chinese versions of pho. So if you want the real deal pho, this may not be the place for you! Anyway, this place gets busy. Bonus if you can speak Cantonese here, 'cause you'll get your order in once you're seated. They'll bring you a tea pot with your tea of choice and then you chill. My friends and I each got the Bun Bo Hue, which was pretty good, just wasn't what I was expecting personally. I like the true Vietnamese style, but their version here will fill the tummy. They have different pho bowls and Chinese-style plates. So you have a good choice. The restaurant is directly in front of Portsmouth Park, so if you're walking around Grant or Kearny Avenues, you'll be close by. As this is Chinatown, good luck with parking, or just take the Muni and walk over here. It's pretty conveinent to get here that way.“

If you like tom yum goong, try the tom yum noodles too. You can also choose the noodle option.
