“This place is such a sweet little cozy place. Basic interior but really comfortable. We found the food to be very good and very fresh tasting. A sweet little spot on the main strip. Worth checking out truly enjoyed.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu“
“Saigon house has been on of our regular rotation for a while. We’ve had a small variety of items from pho, vermicelli, and rice plates. There’s still a lot on the menu we need to try! Everything we’ve had has been good. Food is fresh and delicious. Most recently we had the wonton noodle soup. It had a tasty broth, good wontons which was separated from the shrimp. Shrimp was cooked perfectly and the egg noodles were delicious! They get busy very quickly so order early!“
“As an Indian who is often skeptical of the restaurants around the Bay, I was quite impressed by this.Good value for money, overall good flavor (not too whitewashed lol), great service, nice ambiance.Wish the best to this restaurant and hope they include more South Indian dishes in the future!“
“I've been going to the Dublin and Livermore Sourdough sandwich shop since they opened. The food is always great, as is the service. Since I live in Livermore, I go to this place almost daily. The owners are so nice and always greet customers when they come in. I had them cater a huge pickleball event for our Tri-Valley Pickleball Club and they did an outstanding job. I highly recommend them as the premier sandwich shop in Livermore and the Tri-Valley.“
“For the regular person, any pho might but do, but for the connoisseur this place is for you. What you will find here:Bone broth made from scratch, meticulous attention to detail and high quality ingredients. What you find at other people's spot: too much MSG which let you know that they rushed on their broth and did not take time to do it right.“
“I had just finished eating lunch after dropping off a Wiggly Koontz Hickory Stick to my old pal Crossmoore P. Hagginlipper so he can better control the beast within his bride, Helga, ..she can be pretty aggressive at play time. I'll tell you, I couldn't get outa there fast enough when Helga saw that Wiggly Stick come out of the box, I knew right then and there something was about to happen, and man did I run!I was cutting through town like I owned it, and then I saw Bara's Deli and being a Yogi Bera fan I just had to go in and eat again. Well, seeing that I just had lunch 30 minutes ago, all I could muster was a small corned beef on rye sandwich...it was Amazing! ☆☆☆☆☆“
“Good food, good people, good place, I would recommend ?. The creamy rose rice cake noodles are my favorite!! They have the perfect balance of chewy, savory and flavor. Me and my girlfriend comes here all the time and is one of our favorite Korea spots.“
“Since moving to the neighborhood a few years ago, this Chinese restaurant has become our favorite takeout spot. Their fried rice and eggplant fried tofu dish are consistently excellent, keeping us coming back for more. We appreciate the consistently delicious food and reliable service whenever we crave Chinese cuisine!“
“Great place for authentic Chinese cuisine in the heart of Oakland Chinatown! I especially love their twice cooked pork belly noodle soup and is highly recommended to go with their various varieties of dimsum accompaniments. My favorites are their slow-braised spareribs in blackbean sauce and tripe with chili toppings.“
“I LOVE Bento & Bowls. I always order the bulgogi bowl for take out online. It’s plenty of food and it’s consistently good.I’ve never eaten at the restaurant, it’s definitely meant to be a take out spot. There are a couple small tables if you realllly want to eat there. There’s a small, free parking lot. Could park on the street too.Anyway, go here if you don’t feel like cooking dinner :)“
“Affordable, high-quality, freshly-made, and generous portions. I stop by here often when I want something healthy for lunch. I typically get the falafel wrap, comes with a side salad. Also they have a large selection of fun drinks like kombucha, flavored sparkling water, and probiotic sodas!“
“I could not more highly recommend a restaurant. I ate here 3 times a week for years and never once disappointed - even after I moved away for two years and came back they still recognized me, asked how I was and gave me the best pho in the world“
“Solid quantity and quality of food for its pretty reasonable price. Ordered a shrimp udon and though the noodles were not true udon, it was a solid quantity of food and came with six shrimp. And a bowl of miso soup. A nice environment too. Tastes pretty good.“
“Food: Top notch sushi. If you want the luxury sushi experience, look no further. The chef himself studied and worked in Japan. Super intelligent man with a lot of knowledge about Japanese sushi. I highly recommend getting the fish of the day. It will blow your mind by how the fish melts in your mouth. If not, get any black cod dish. I get it every time I come here.Service: Awesome staff who hustles to please all customers. Cant thank them enough!“
“This place was delicious and the food here was great, this may have been the best Vietnamese food I have ever had. I may have had to drive 7-8 hours to get here but it was all worth it, I would recommend this place to everyone because the French fries were also very good. This place serves the food very fast and it was absolutely delicious 5 stars and will come back again.“
“The tofu soup is always a good choice. It’s comforting and delicious. The reason I put 4/5 starts is because the burnt rice is never consistent. There are days where it’s perfect and delicious but there are also times where it’s extremely burnt and they serve it to you anyways.Over the years, the price of a tofu soup went up. I remember coming here when it was maybe 10-15 dollars per soup. I think it’s about 20 dollars today.“
“In our opinion, this is the best Korean restaurant in the Bay Area. Every one I've taken here has loved the food. The BBW spicy pork is super yummy. Also, they bring this rice shell, which is crispy hollow rice that you can break apart and put in their delicious soup. I highly recommend trying this place out.“
“It's wonderful to have a high quality Thai restaurant in the neighborhood. Thai Delight does a good job with the menu, and the ambience is great. Casual but very clean, quiet, and comfy. The new owners have transformed one wall into a charming mural that defies description. Service is at times uneven but mostly warm and attentive. It's become our go-to spot.“
“Boy! Where do I start, this Olive garden never disappoints! Excellent service, hats off to their management, kitchen and staff! When they say in their commercials when you're, hear you're family, they meant it! Their whole staff from the hostesses to the servers and management are very respectful and so pleasant. They always put a smile on your face with the interaction you get. The food comes out quickly and their managers walk around always asking, how's everything? I take notice and I love the way their team works together and help each other out serving their customers. They have a great system down and work very efficient . They're one of two restaurants that I can say that about from my experience. Their bathrooms are always decent for the most part and their restaurants are always clean with a welcoming decor and atmosphere. And as always their food is wonderfully delicious!???? In closing, we have always had a positive experience at all Olive garden locations, with this location being no exception. But it has been our favorite out of all of them thus far. Again to the management, and the whole staff at this Olive garden location in Hayward, My family and I applaud you! ??? outstanding! Excellence at its best! Thank you for all your hard work and always giving us a wonderful experience at your restaurant! You truly do make us feel like family! ?“
“My husband and I stopped in for sandwiches. Everything there is pre-made which they call Grab and Go. I had the Coronation Chicken and my husband had the Tarragon Chicken. They were delicious and the prices were reasonable. We also had a Southwestern Salad which was good but I thought it could use more corn and black beans. I understand that food costs are really high. They have a few tables to eat in. They also have Take and Bake dinners which I want to try. I think those have to be pre-ordered. We will be back even though it's a bit of a drive for us.“
“If you are from Oakland, you’ve probably heard of Vien Huong, which has been my go to and I’ve been going there since I was a little kid. However… my friend recommended me to Thanh Ky and I was reluctant at first to cheat on Vien Huong but… I’m glad I did. They offer the same type of noodles but.. the taste is totally different. I usually get the combination with the fat egg noodles and soup on the side.Vien Huong: their egg noodles are different, a less eggier. The price is about $3-4 dollars more than TK. Their bowls are bigger and you get more foodThanh Ky: their egg noodles are very yellow and contain much more egg. Sometimes they don’t cook the egg noodles enough and it’s a little gummy. Bowls are cheaper in price but are smaller. However, the overall flavor has more oomph than VH. It’s more flavorful, a little saltier, more garlicky and the fried pork skins are a nice guilty touch.I’m a big fan of TK now but I still go back to my roots at VH but I find it’s less often. Total meal for two combination noodles at TK is around 35 dollars and at VH is almost 43.“
“This review is NOT for their chicken noodle (which I hear is very good) but for their seafood noodle soup and fresh squeezed sugarcane drinks! The seafood noodle soup doesn’t get its fair share of attention. It’s a delicious flavor and a generous portion. Plenty of ingredients, and ask them for the ginger sauce to go with it and it’s the bomb! We’ve been grabbing their sugarcane drinks for ages now. I prefer the simple one with kumquat but there’s lots of flavors to choose from. It’s always so thirst quenching especially on a warm day. Brings me back to Southeast Asia right away. My only gripe are the prices for the drinks sky rocketed in the past year, but that’s inflation for ya.They just expanded their indoor space so there’s almost twice as many tables now and they’re usually full at peak lunchtime. Easy parking in the mall lot. Come just past lunchtime like around 1 or 1:30pm to avoid the crowds.“
“Best spicy food I have ever had. Super packed with flavor and absolutely satisfying! Words cannot describe how good it was.I now have my new favorite go to place. I will definitely dine here again.Vegetarian options: Spring rolls are vegetable only.Dietary restrictions: Not good for people who have peanut allergies.“
“Absolutely amazing chinese food!As someone who travels a lot for work, it’s really difficult to find tasteful Chinese food. I had the sesame chicken with white rice and pork dumplings delivered through Uber Eats. The food arrived hot and smelled amazing. The sesame chicken was perfectly glazed with the right amount of sesame seeds on top of it.The white rice was fluffy, soft, and paired brilliantly. Finally, the pan fried pork dumplings were the best I’ve ever had! They had the an amazing crust on the outside with a mouthwatering filling. If I’m ever back in Hayward I will be sure to get this place again!“
“Tried this place on a whim one night and was really pleasantly surprised! I love the style of personal hot pot when you get to pick all your own ingredients, but it had been a really long time since I've found one near me. I loved this place! All the ingredients were so fresh and they were very quick after we gave it to them. It was also fairly priced in comparison to Berkeley prices - it's $16 per pound and mine ended up being around $18.50. I thought it was well worth for the quick service, great food, and comforting, cozy atmosphere.“
“The Black Garlic ramen is my favorite. The broth, pork slices, roasted garlic and soft egg are melt in your mouth fantastic ! Even the bamboo shoots have a beautiful texture and flavor. The place is plain but very clean inside. Owners seem very nice.“
“The pho was solid and ingredients were fresh. Our server was great and our toddler loved her. We had the rare steak pho, shrimp egg rolls, and shrimp egg roll vermicelli. Everything tasted great. They also offer boba drinks and thai tea. Our thai teas were solid. The place is huge and we found a table easily.“
“First time eating here and it was FIRE!!! RIBS & BRISKET WAS SOOOOO GOOOOOOD the collar greens was one of the best I've had around here corn bread and hush puppies were also good. I would eat here once a week if I lived closer. GREAT JOB! I'LL BE BACK!“
“I preface this by saying my family has gone to Peony Seafood Restaurant for a lot of years. My wife and I had a smaller wedding banquet there, and I've been there for several banquet and large events, as well as for dim sum lunches.Currently this is one of the only big restaurants left in Oakland Chinatown, it's in the second floor of the Pacific Renaissance Plaza where there's parking below.Bottom line the dim sum and dinner menu is pretty tasty and authentic. Dim Sum time can be pretty busy, they do have a backroom/VIP room with a slightly upgraded experience with a slightly higher tea price (it's likely to get seated quicker there).Their dinner menu is pretty solid as well.“
“Cute little place a bit off the beaten path. Ordered the Morrocan Rice with Kefta and caramelized onions and a side of hummus. The Kefta was delicious with the caramelized onions seasoned with cinnamon and nutmeg (?). Really good. The tangy side salad was a nice counter-point to the Kefta. The hummus was top drawer and sprinkled generously with paprika. The only disappointment was the pita which was a bit dry and appeared (and tasted) "store bought." Taking off a star for that. If you're serving this type of food, you can't fumble something as basic and central as the pita bread. Aside from that little fail, very good.“
