I have been coming here for 15 years. Best bowl of noodles in California.
Thanh Ky is a public institution. They have the best noodles hands down. My go to order is the number one with soup on the side. I also highly recommend the tender chicken over fried rice. If you're ever craving a hearty noodle dish, this is the place to go to. The food also comes out extremely quickly as well with reasonable prices.
They have card now (with a 8.5% fee)! Oakland classic hole in the wall that gets busy including weekdays. I can on a Wednesday at 11:40 and by the time I left there was a wait. Fantastic value. Dry Hu tieu with egg noodles is superb 13.50. Coffee is sweet and strong and served with the pinh. Love the condiment variety too.
