I like saucy pizza, which is why I like Heshers. We were first introduced to the pizza when we used to come to crooked city cider. Now heshers has taken over the whole building in a prime area of Jack London Square. We came at opening time, 12 PM on a rainy Saturday for a friends birthday. Because it is a rainy weekend we had to change our outdoor plans and this is a great location for a large group with dogs who can hang out indoors. Absolutely love this pizza. If I lived on this side of the bay, I'd be coming here regularly. Pinball games have a nice selection and the taproom doesn't only offer cider!
Went for lunch on a Wednesday and got Hinterlander and a rootbeer. Food came pretty quick (only a couple of other people there) and the pizza was delish. Sitting on the high table and watching Wayne's world on mute on the big screen was just the break I needed on hump day. Lots of stuff to look at, and some creative pies that I want to try sometime.
