The atmosphere was lovely. The staff were very attentive and accommodating. The food presentation was beautiful! And tasted as good as it looked.
This review is long overdue. We dined at Laney College Bistro several times last year. The presentation was thoughtful and the food was delicious.
Although I only referenced 4 stars for service it was because this was a school. The students are earnest and take tremendous pride in their culinary training.
We don't dine here more frequently as my partner works elsewhere and it is hard for him to make the last seating.

Such a great meal! Lovely people and awesome experience dining by the lake. There’s a lot of construction outside, so it takes some navigation skills to find, but it is absolutely worth it! You’d pay 2 times as much for this quality and innovative food at any other restaurant in the Bay Area. Will definitely be back!
