“Just go! There's a parking lot so you won't need to circle to find a spot. The food is INCREDIBLE!
And they have a little hidden oasis in the back where one can eat a crazy good burger & spiced fries.
It's the little things that matter - the special sauce, the sink in the back where we could wash our hands before / after eating, and the incredible service & smiles we received when we walked in. We'll be back anytime we are in the neighborhood!!“

“Stopped by OakTown Kabobs and had a really good experience. The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned, with generous portions that made for a satisfying meal.

“This is the best South Asian cuisine I have had outside of my home. The food actually tastes authentic and not watered down for people who do not like spicy food. The goat biryani, chicken biryani, and goat karahi were excellent. If you are in the Oakland area, you have to try this place out!“

“Okay wow. My kids love this spot and I never tried it bc I thought it was just whatever but I finally ordered a single tender for myself to see what the hype was all about and it was so good!!! I got mild which is just a tiny kick but not where you need to find water and it was so good! Amazingly crispy even after waiting after I had driven home to eat it and the pickles and super soft slice of bread was the perfect complement. The batter is very tasty with a hint of sweet and the chicken itself felt like great quality and wasn’t dry. Okay I get it now! Will order myself some food the next time the kids ask for this!“

“I have to say this experience exceeded expectations from start to finish.

A dear friend insisted I try the pineapple coconut cakes, ordering four and telling me “you will see.” That level of confidence immediately raised my curiosity and it absolutely delivered.

From the moment I walked in, the staff set the tone. They were kind, informative, patient, and genuinely welcoming. That level of service matters, and they got it right.

I initially ordered four plates and appreciated the menu variety, especially seeing whole chicken wings offered. But the real moment came when I sampled the shrimp in my car. It was outstanding. Perfectly seasoned, flavorful, and memorable.

I turned right back around and ordered an additional plate with catfish and shrimp, and that sealed it for me. The shrimp are 🔥🔥🔥!

This is the kind of place that earns repeat visits. The food is bold, the service is warm, and the overall experience leaves a lasting impression. I will absolutely be back.“

“I love the food here it’s super yummy! My advice would be to make sure you clear the tables of dirty dishes it’s unappealing to look at while you’re dining there. Service is extremely friendly but a little slow. Also it’s nice when you have music playing.“

“The food was fresh, flavorful & delicious! You could tell the chef took great pride in the meals prepared. The Kale & Shrimp, Jollof Rice was a wonderful medley of flavors, savory greens, plump shrimp, and the rice was so fluffy with just the right amount of spice. I added goat to mine & my dining partner added chicken. And the plantain was ripened, carmelized perfectly. I was only able to eat half, saving the rest for lunch the next day.

The space is quaint with two tables on either side of the room. The menus were frayed & soiled, giving off a lack of care for simple details. That being said, I will still return.“

“Our kids really wanna try food here as they have seen the menu and pictures. Finally we manage to go on her birthday to celebrate with family and friends . We had Mango lassi, pani puri , samosa, chicken Momo, Briyani, paneer lababda, muglai chicken, butter naan, butter chicken,jeera rice ,Chicken Briyani, tres lache cake and lal Mohan with ice cream . Of course gentlemen had wine 🍷 too.All the food were yummy , desent portion . I was expecting 8 pieces of Momo but it was only 5. Shout out to Briyani . It was yummy . Do visit this place . “Good size portions of good food at a good price. Great location too. They will see me again many times. Limited menu, but that’s not a bad thing. Perfect before or after a show or event. Plus they are open late.“

We had lunch here and the food was really delicious. We ordered the qabuli palo, house salad, and chicken wings — everything was perfect.

The qabuli palo was flavorful and cooked just right, with tender meat and aromatic rice. The house salad was fresh and a great balance to the meal.

But the crispy wings were such a WOW. Seasoned perfectly, super crispy on the outside, juicy inside. Easily the highlight.

Service was friendly and the place felt welcoming. We’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu.
