Falafel Boy in Oakland is a favorite take out place around the downtown area. The food is absolutely delicious and authentic. Popular menu items include the chicken shawarma, chicken shawarma rice bowl, kafta kebab, falafel bowl with half rice half salad, and the chicken shawarma plate. The cauliflower bowl is also wonderful, with the cauliflower well-seasoned and cooked to ideal texture. The falafel and hummus are done well, and the harissa is amazing. The wraps are lavash, not pita. The staff is kind and makes customers feel good. While it is a great spot for take out, the lake is right around the corner for eating nearby. However, there have been price increases, and sometimes the food does not have enough. Despite this, the food is delicious and instantly in customers' top five. It is highly recommended for friends to visit together.
