“I had the opportunity to enjoy their food at a recent pop-up restaurant put on by La cucina in San Francisco! their cuisine is Algerian and very delicious! I have never had the chance to experience this particular cuisine and now I cannot wait until they open the Municipal Marketplace in San Francisco's tenderloin neighborhood! expected to open in July, KAYMA will be one of the stalls featured there. absolutely every morsel I tried at that dinner was delicious but they're brined black olives were incredible! hoping they will have them available in jars to take home!“

The restaurant is large and has a lot of seating. They had no issues accommodating walk-ins. The food came out in a timely manner, and the waitresses were friendly.

It was my first time here so I ordered classic dishes like manti and plov, two dishes I enjoy and have tried before elsewhere. That was enough for my friend and I to share, so the portions are quite filling. I enjoyed the texture of the rice in the plov, and it came with this simple side salad of tomatoes and red onion but it paired nicely with the dish, and I found myself really enjoying it. Next time, I’d love to try some dishes I’ve never had before, or the kebab plates. I saw someone else order a kebab plate and it came out sizzling and smelling so so good!“

“Mama's is the best lunch spot in cow hollow and it's not even close. Everyone comes for the chicken caesar wrap, but they return for the breakfast burritos, chicken tikka masala wrap, the tuna wrap, and the awesome coffee, chai, and juices! Hell, even the shawarma cauliflower wrap is delicious. Their sauce/salsa game is point.

Plus the folks who work here are kind & efficient, and that might be the best part.

“These guys are the real deal. I have been searching for proper combo over rice since I moved here from NYC 2 years ago and have struggled to find it anywhere. Somehow I hadn’t found this place yet, but man am I thrilled finally have. Full of flavor, cooked well, great portion for the price, and the guy was super friendly. Absolutely will be a consistent customer here. This is the place man, don’t sleep on it.“

“Old Jerusalem is one of my favorite restaurants for Middle Eastern food on San Francisco’s Mission St. I ordered the Mansaf last time and it was amazing, so I had to come back and order the Mousakhan this time. Dunya was amazing host again and very knowledgeable of the menu and dishes. The complimentary beets and olives were a nice little appetizer while the food gets prepared. The pita with the side sauces were also a great refresher. I ordered the coffee this time and it was a unique flavor that I enjoyed. The Mousakhan dish was a feast! Easily sharable but I devoured it. The chicken was well seasoned and tender. I liked how it was served over a pita bread which soaked in the flavor. Eating with hands is the best for this meal and the whole experience was exceptional. I was too full for dessert but I will be back for the kunafa!“

“Kiosk for ordering, so no human interaction. I can’t really compare what I ate with other Mexican restaurants because of dietary restrictions. We had tacos: hand made blue corn tortillas! Meat had a charred flavor and was of good consistency. Quesabirria eas nice the consume was on good too. Overall great experience.“

For drinks we had a dragonfruit mocktail and chai. Taste was the gold standard, and service was super attentive. Shahil is such a humble and hardworking guy, doing great things for the San Fran area and halal food scene all over.“

Just tried the falafel plate at **Halal Shop San Francisco** and OMG — it’s next-level delicious! 😍 The falafels were perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside, and that creamy white sauce with the spicy red drizzle took it to another dimension 🔥🔥🔥! The rice was fluffy, the salad was super fresh, and the whole plate looked like a piece of art 😋💚

The vibes were great, service was fast, and everything tasted 100% fresh and halal 🕌✨

“I got Karahi Gosht and it was authentic and flavorful. Serving quantity was decent as well. I live in the South Bay and most places over there don't get this dish right. 5* from me, for the Karahi Gosht and Naan. Service understandably took some time because they make it fresh and piping hot. And I went there in between performances of standup comedy at Cobb's next door.“

“I had to leave a review after our experience at Arabian Nights. We were visiting San Francisco with a large group of 15 people and needed a last-minute dinner reservation. Not only were they able to accommodate us, but they made the entire evening feel effortless.

A huge thank you to KG, who was one of the best waiters I’ve ever had. Managing a group of 15 is no easy task, especially when everyone is ordering food, drinks, and hookah, but he handled everything flawlessly. He was attentive, positive, outgoing, and always seemed to be one step ahead of what we needed. The level of service he provided was truly outstanding and played a huge part in making our night such a success.

The food completely exceeded my expectations. The meat platters were fantastic, the bread was fresh and delicious, and the hummus was some of the best I’ve had. Every dish that came to the table was flavorful and well prepared. Honestly, I was shocked by how good the food was. The hookahs were also excellent and added to the great atmosphere.

If you enjoy Arabic food, I highly recommend giving this place a try. It was one of the most pleasant surprises of our trip to San Francisco.

The only minor downside has nothing to do with the restaurant itself. The surrounding area can feel a little sketchy at night, and it was somewhat off-putting when we first arrived. My recommendation is to simply Uber there and back, and you’ll have nothing to worry about. Personally, I wouldn’t leave my car parked in the area.

Overall, Arabian Nights delivered amazing food, great hookah, and exceptional service. KG made sure our large group had an incredible experience, and I can’t thank him enough. We will absolutely be back next time in SF.“
