“Upon walking into this place, you immediately feel like you've been transported out of San Francisco and into the Mediterranean. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and there's a gorgeous, completely covered outdoor area with plenty of seating. We sat in the outdoor area in the back of the restaurant next to an olive tree, and it was so peaceful. The staff was absolutely amazing, super attentive, and they refilled our pita bread and dips continously.

The food was exceptionally good, super flavorful, and very fresh. We will definitely be going back very soon. This is a very special place.“

“I had their lamb roganjosh, aloo Gobi, and chicken chettinand. People might say Pakwan is the place to go for good Indian food in the city, but I was thoroughly impressed with what I ate at Keeva. This is not watered down gringofied Indian food. Absolutely loved the lamb roganjosh, the cauliflower and potatoes were very well spiced, and while I personally didn't like the chettinand, I understand the flavor profile and what that dish is. You're missing out on really delicious Indian food if you're not eating here.“

“7 of us went here on Sunday for my son's birthday celebration. His choice. At first we were given a spot too small for all of us, a very small short table for 2 placed next to a table for 4. Luckily the large group seated at the racetrack shaped table left and were were able to move. You order and pay in advance at the counter, they give you a number and bring the food out to you. The 5% SF tax is added and you tip prior to experiencing the quality of service. I still added my usual 20%. The food began coming out quickly, my only concern was that the 2 appetizer plates we ordered arrived after all of the 5 mains we ordered. The flavors and quality of everything were quite good, perhaps other than the falafel, which was very dry. My wife especially loved the branding. It does get busy and folks were lined up waiting to be seated, glad we decided to show up at 5.“

“Amazing hummus and hands down the best falafel I’ve ever had! Perfectly crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The portions are generous, and one plate could easily feed two people.

The downside is the service. The restaurant gets incredibly busy, with long wait times, and you can definitely feel the pressure to leave as soon as you finish eating. I brought a birthday cake to celebrate, but they wouldn’t let us enjoy it there because they were so busy.

Also, watch out for the automatic 35% service charge. Considering you order at the counter and take a number, that charge feels excessive, especially given the rushed service.

Overall, it’s a cute, charming spot in Cole Valley with genuinely delicious food. Definitely worth visiting for the food and atmostphere, but don’t expect five-star service or a relaxed dining experience.“

“I stopped in to get help with directions, which required internet access to get and use the app. Sara was extraordinarily helpful. While waiting, the food being prepared smelled so good that I was sorry I had just eaten breakfast 2 hours earlier.
I was returning a rental car two days later and walked in for lunch. I had a Chicken Shawarma. It was even better than it smelled. I have eaten over 100 shawarmas in SF, and this was the best I ever had.“

“Freekeh is one of our favorite go-tos. Everything hits. The labneh, jibneh halloumi, zahara bil tahini, and sampler are must-haves. But you really can’t go wrong here. The family that owns the restaurant is so hospitable and kind. We’re grateful this restaurant is in our neighborhood and hope they never leave!“

“WOW the food is delicious. I never liked lamb before, but the lamb was to die for, it was so juicy and tender and flavorful - I added it on top of hummus and ate it with their warm pita bread. Also that was the best falafel I've ever had in my life, hands down -crispy and flavorful and NOT DRY. The pickles were amazing too. 10/10 will return.“

“They are so quick, and the food is absolutely amazing! Probably one of the best Yemeni food restaurants I’ve ever been to. He is a pillar of stability that supports the action taking place on the “Club Corridor”.We’re all hoping he returns soon and in good health.Joe is a treasure on 11th. “The best Persian cuisine in SFBA. Authentic cuisine, ambience, decor, and, best of all their Chicken Joojeh Bone In, Barg, Beef and Lamb Koobideh, Chicken Koobideh which are their trademark dishes. Chicken Joojeh Bone In and Chicken Koobideh cannot be found at other Persian restaurants. These are Alborz special dishes. Excellent, fresh, Halal.“

“I smelled it before I got there no always looking for “the right food cooked by the right people!” I had a bowl with chicken which I could cut with a the plastic spoon 😍 with rice and lentils very flavorful too with the Israel salad all that flavor in one bowl was the best by far! My friend who’s vegan was very satisfied had a falafel bowl which she started eating as we walked down the street! She had smashed it by the time we made to the tables at Union Square. The food delicious the portions huge and the price right! On another note when we arrived they were out of rice and of course they made me some fresh very much appreciated ❤️“
