About De Afghanan Kabob House

De Afghanan Kabob House serves delicious Afghan cuisine and is a very clean, well-kept hidden gem in San Francisco. The restaurant is popular among locals and visitors alike, offering rich, flavorful dishes that feel truly homemade. The menu features meals such as chapli kabob, Tekka, and chicken kabob, all praised for their tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked quality. Customers love the aromatic rice, which is soft, fluffy, and buttery, and the freshly baked Afghan bread, warm and soft. The bolani, vegetable dish (Palag), and the amazing shornakhod also remind diners of traditional Afghan flavors.

The atmosphere is cozy and pleasant, making it a great place to dine in or get takeout. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and attentive, providing quick and great service even on busy nights. While the restaurant may be a bit pricier than some other options, the generous portions and quality of the food make it a worthwhile choice. Desserts like baklava are highlighted as the best many have had, fresh and not overly sweet. For those craving authentic Afghan food in the city, De Afghanan Kabob House is definitely worth a visit for a warm, hearty lunch or dinner.

Came here for dinner. Food came out so quickly and the server was so kind! Gave us extra sides on the house. Highly recommend badenjan challow!!

Not asmnice as when it was on geary. Now feels like a take out spot. Prefer the other shop. Lamb though is excellent though.

Authentic Afghan cuisine. Try their chapli kabobs. Perfect blend of spices, beef and texture. One of the best I have tasted in the US. Comes with a generous portion of rice, bread and side salad. Also give their Bolani a try. Excellent quailty. Owner is very gentleman.
