“We live in this neighborhood and if you know the North Shattuck and Northbrae Neighborhoods, there is no shortage of walkable dining. We just love Jerusalem Organic Kitchen for a consistently well prepared meal, friendly staff, and really good ingredients! They serve a quick, casual, healthy, and absolutely delicious meal. Everything we have tried is great with balanced seasonings. My personal favorite is the Shawarma Platter. Don't miss the perfectly prepared salmon platter with a generous serving of salmon that won't set you back an arm and a leg. The salad with chicken shawarma on top is great too. And they, of course, prepare a great middle eastern platter and falafel platter. And if all you want is a sandwich or burger - you won't be disappointed. Get the idea? We like their food and for good reason - they don't try to be all things to all people - they do middle eastern cuisine and do it really well. Try it - you'll like it!“

“BEST falafel and kofte! So moist and fresh. Really impressed with the food. The staff is SO nice. Also, the little sitting in the area is pleasant. Prices are great, especially for the Turkish delight. You get what you pay for and some. I am looking forward to coming back here with friends and family. 10/10!“

Have been going to this restaurant for over 20 years... The man who operates it took it over from his daughter and son-in-law... It used to be called Misha's Gyros ... I went in recently and I didn't quite recognize the guy with his hat ?... He was related to the people I saw BEFORE, I knew THAT -but I wasn't sure if it was a relative of theirs/or the same Guy -because it has been so many years! I saw him before the pandemic...

It turns out it's the same man and he maintains and operates his restaurant dutifully and faithfully after all these years!

THE FOOD WAS SO FILLING THAT I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO FALL ASLEEP! INCREDIBLE SPICE /INCREDIBLE FLAVOR TO THE CHICKEN GYROS... I WAS FEELING SO LETHARGIC I WORRIED ABOUT WHETHER I COULD GET TO MY CAR IN THE PARKING GARAGE AND DRIVE HOME 8 MI AWAY SAFELY!

AN HOUR LATER I WAS IN BED AND I REALIZED IT WAS THE LONGEST HOUR... BECAUSE OF ALL THE CALORIES AND NUTRITION IT WAS AS IF TIME EXPANDED ITSELF AND LASTED LONGER!

I highly recommend this simple and humble restaurant... And I hope they are available on DOORDASH ?...:⁠-⁠)

“A local favorite. Their hummus is incredible.

Kind of a comfortable and homey place on college avenue with reasonable prices and some good specialties, especially the pomegranate chicken.

Lots of different businesses around, including a dessert shop down the street, movie theater next block over parking right behind the buildings. Great for a night out.“

“It’s rare to find places where the food tastes just as good as it looks, but Lulu made its way to that list. We got the Mezze for 4 people and it was incredible. Everything tasted great and the flavors all complemented each other so well for each individual dish. For dessert, we ordered the baklava French toast and I still think about it to this day. Truly something I’ve never tasted before. Staff were all kind and took good care of us, highly recommend.

Vegetarian options: Tons of vegetarian options, given that middle eastern breakfast is largely vegetarian by nature.“

“(4.5 rounding up) We walked in to a clean space that you could def eat in at. The man at the cash register was super kind and friendly. He gave us some tea while we waited for the food which did take a tad longer than I expected bc no one else ordered before us visually but then 2 people came by for the their pick up orders so we will do that next time.

Husband got the plate and I got the wrap for chicken shawarma and it was good! Not better than my own imo haha but it actually does taste like 85% similar.

It’s partially on us bc we did take out and had to run an errand before we could eat so it was a tad soggy and it had a slight spice to it I didn’t care for but for reference I don’t even like black pepper so take that statement with a grain of salt (pun unintended).

I will def come again and order the same thing but maybe request to not have all the extra stuff inside bc as a Lebanese I prefer my shawarma with as minimal things inside as possible. I was also definitely missing my pickled turnips 😩“

“Sichuan chicken sandwich really hits. Tasty Taiwanese style fried chicken but in sandwich form? Insane. I've never been the biggest fan of deli sandwiches, but the one I had here (hot coppa) was easily the best cold sandwich I've eaten. Big fan of the sodium levels in everything (plenty).

Also they're not lying when they say "large" cookie. That's a LARGE cookie!“

“This place is located in a very inconvenient area however the wrap I ordered from here was very very good and probably one the best wraps I’ve had. I ordered the lamb shawarma wrap which came with a hefty amount of lamb. The other filling was lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and yogurt sauce. Alongside the wrap it comes with hummus and side salad. All the veggies were super fresh and crisp which surprised me! I say surprised because everything else is sitting out on warmers as if you were at Subway ordering a sandwich. Some items looked like they were sitting for awhile and I ordered my food/visitied relatively earlier in the day. That threw me off a bit and I wasn’t expecting much from the wrap but it shocked me. Very tasty and I absolutely would order it again!“

“I love this place and go at least once or twice a month..My wife loves the chicken shawarma either the plate or the wrap..I love the falafel, and the lamb shawarma..This time I hooked up with a dear friend, she and I ordered the lamb shanks..the serving is huge!! Wonderful rice, and a separate plate with yogurt , cucumber sald and a cabbage salad..tremendouws value, but to much meat for me..So I am sticking with my go to items mentioned above...We had the Kanefa(?) it was not the best i have had..that was in Dearborn, but my friend di not care for it, so the baker gave her two more different dessert servings..so typical of the genorisity of this place. I grew in this neighborhood and must say or Muslim neighbors eatery is a welcome addition!!“

“Exceptional in every way. I’ve only ordered from them on door dash until this visit, it’s all delicious but the ambiance and broader selection is even better in-person. I loved the traditional and Romanian eggplant. Their coffee is amazing. And the usual dishes tasted even better when delivered fresh. But if you can’t make it to the restaurant, don’t hesitate to order on door dash. I was blown away by the food.“

“If there was a way to give 6 stars, I would award it without reservation to this amazing Afghan restaurant. They recently opened their location in San Francisco at the expense of shutting down the one in Berkeley and I am sure those East Bay denizens are now in extended mourning.

It's a no frills place with amazing food and great service. We had pretty much everything on the menu: the bolani, the spinach, the eggplant, and the triple kebab. Everything was just flat out spectacular, seasoned perfectly and bursting with flavor in each bite. Nothing was greasy or salty, the flavor was from fresh ingredients and expert cooking.

We had leftovers and were walking down Van Ness and a homeless person asked me for the leftovers. Normally I would have said yes but I had to say no because I wanted the food for myself! I did give them some money to get their own food so don't hate me too much.

Check this place out before it gets too popular which, by how brisk business was tonight, means that won't be too long.

“Yesterday was our first time here. Staff was friendly & helpful. Ordered a chicken rice plate, shrimp rice plate and a Gyro. All of it was tasty. We all agreed we would gladly eat here again. We sat on the street, watching the world go by while shoveling in the delishness. Affordable & we paid with card. Could use some fresh paint & some deep cleaning though. Bathroom needs a gut job reno.“

“Super yummy hummus plates, falafel, kebabs and salads. Found this gem while on a walk in China town. Not easy to find, but once you know where to find it you will come back again and again. Sooooo good.“

“The chicken halal plate from this place is Beyond DELICIOUS! If you like halal food, you won’t be disappointed eating here. It’s pretty good. The block it’s in can be sketchy at times, so practice caution when parking, stay alert and quick purchasing. They also have really good herbs, seasonings and products to purchase.“

SAJJ stands out as an excellent option for authentic Mediterranean fare. The servings are generous, and the prices are fair, particularly in light of the price increases at other venues. The inclusion of lentil soup with every order is a pleasant surprise, solidifying this as my favourite lunch spot.“

They planned and managed a very delicious memorial dinner for us for approximately 75 guests. The customer service and food were excellent - our menu included roasted salmon, vegetarian mousaka, rice, Greek salad and garlic bread, plus dessert of Baklava and sugar cookies which everyone also loved. They also handled dinnerware, water, lots of set up and clean up, soft drinks and pretty bottled Greek waters for the tables. “We both had lambs ( the Mrs had the kebab with salad and soup and I had the lamb & beef platter). My plate was made special by the dressing , but my wife’s was the better deal as the smokey flavored meat was out of the ballpark sarap!“
