A separate communal table area where kids / families gravitate makes it kidfriendly. Largely self-service.“

Got the chicken kebab, chicken shawarma, and Greek salad. Everything was seasoned so perfectly and the rice was pillowy and flavorful. I don't have a bad thing to say about this place. If you're in the area and in the mood for yummy Mediterranean food, then this is your spot. Get a baklava to top everything off. King of kebab is a bold name, but they def hold up to it. Highly recommend.“

“I do love the breakfast here. The polenta with greens is my standard order. The green shakshuka really is greener than you were expecting. If you come as a party you can sample the various different kinds of hummus. Haven't been disappointed by anything on the menu.“

“Wow! Everything here was exceptional. The beef shawarma bowl, lentil soup, hummus, and baklava were so delicious. I was there on Tuesday with my mom and we are so lucky we happened upon it, up the street from our hotel. “I don't remember how many times i've been here lol. Whenever I was too lazy to prepare lunch for myself, I usually bought gyro in this place and then went back to my lab/class. The price is affordable for Berkeley Standard (i remember it was around 12 usd before tax).

This place was also in UC berkeley north gate before, so it was close to my building. Then the one in north gate was closed. However I didn't mind to go back and forth from my lab to this place in southgate, my lazy ass didn't mind to go downhill then uphill lol.
And yeah, this place also offers halal food, so that's a plus“

“Finally ate here and the food is really quite good. Mezze platter was delicious and I was able to get gluten free pita! They also have a lot of vegetarian options, many featuring impossible meat. So I had the Impossible wrap and it’s really well spiced, very tasty and huge! Leftovers! The only disappointment was the spanakopita which was very bland and didn’t seem to have any feta in it. My mom was very disappointed. They offered to remake it which was very nice. We’ll be back!“
