They knew what they were doing naming this place "yummy yummy" y'all know how Keith Lee syncs into his seat when the food hits ?!? Baby that was me on the ride back to work lol. Thought I'd just get a little taste and baby I tore that trio plate up ! It was my first time so I went during their lunch time and they have an amazing lunch special. Everything is seasoned to perfection! The rice is cooked perfectly the steak butter and literally melts the chicken is tender and I've been to every hibachi in the bay and sometimes the chicken can be a bit dry but not at yummy yummy ! The veggies were even seasoned perfectly! I also got a lobster in the side and there was some garlic butter that didn't quite melt and I scooped it up with that piece of lobster meat.....orgasmic!! So happy I gave this place a try I will definitely be coming back again !!“

“Came here on a Saturday afternoon. No line, but food took 15-20 min to cook. Nice that it's cooked fresh, and we took the opportunity to walk around the local street fare while we waited. We got the mahi mahi fish and taro chips. My kids love fried fish, but the youngest found it too spicy (he's very sensitive). I loved the fish, it was my favorite out of everything I ordered. My kids loved the taro chips. I also got the lamb plate with the palau. Tasty. My daughter liked the lamb. The sausage had a bit of kick to it. I got extra mango salad instead of the cassava. “I'm from the East Coast (NY) and recently my Brother in-law and I visited a few cities in the state of California. First, we spent a few days visiting family in Los Angeles and Santa Ana. At the last minute of booking the trip, my Brother in-law decided he wanted to visit an old college buddy named Roderick (Roddy) in Oakland.He mentioned that Roddy had a BBQ restaurant named Roderick's BBQ. So the plan was to fly down from Santa Ana to San Francisco, make the drive to Oakland and spend our final evening in California hanging out with Roddy at his restaurant. I didn't know what to expect because I had never met him. Well, he rolled out the red carpet along with some of the finest food (not just BBQ) you will ever have in your life.You name it, we had it, and it all tasted incredible. Ribs, Tri-Tip, BBQ Chicken, Hot Links, Fried Chicken, Fried Catfish, French Fries, Mac & Cheese, and Potato Salad. The Ribs were tender and perfectly cooked, as was the BBQ Chicken. The Tri-Tip was tender and just melted in your mouth. The Hot Links had the perfect amount of flavor and heat. The fried chicken and catfish was perfectly seasoned, juicy, and tasted great. The french fries had a light dusting of their in-house seasoning that was absolutely amazing.The Potato Salad and Mac & Cheese was incredible as well and to wash it all down was some of the most amazing Kool-Aid ever. The type of Kool-Aid that takes you back to your childhood. You better believe the next time I'm on the West Coast, I'm getting me some Roderick's BBQ. This place is a hidden gem and if you live in the Oakland area, you should run (not walk) to Roderick's BBQ immediately and try some of this amazing food. “Caught them off W Grand and had to stop by. I've seen the truck everywhere but haven't had a chance to try. I ordered the Chile Relleno Torta and wow! I never thought to make it a sandwich but man was it good! The chile relleno was nicely seasoned and crisp. They had some additional toppings inside the toasted bread, as well as, a consommé on the side. I was in a rush so I just dunked the torta straight in and ate it that way. Brilliant flavors, generous portions and quick service. They didn't have drinks which was a slight bummer. Next time, I'll ask that the torta be cut in half and ask for some side jalapeños and cebollita to round off the flavorful tastes. Wi come back again.“

“Been coming to this same truck FOREVER. The food is on repeat. Literally never a bad day. Being a regular and knowing it's the same person you see always has me know the food has a face. Service on point, and the ambiance is what you'd expect from any food truck. I'd recommend this spot to anyone. My normal go tos are the chorizo breakfast burrito, any of the tacos, any of the burittos. I always mix it up.“
