“Love this place! We've enjoyed brunch and dinner here. The chicken and waffles are pretty good as are the chilaquiles. But the true gem is the torra Jalisco! It's hands down my favorite dish on the menu! I have ordered it every time I've been back since the first time I tried it. It's super rich and I've never been able to finish it, but it's worth every greasy calorie!“
“Me and my wife went there for lunch today, we had queso fundido with carne asada , huevos with machaca very traditional and delicious and also had a fish ceviche which it was also very good, service was very nice and attentive highly recommended , place a nice , clean and spacious we are definitely going back soon“
“Went here with friends for Easter Sunday Brunch. Made reservations just a few days in advance for a party of 8. Got seated within minutes of our reservations. Restaurant was clean, staff and service was exceptional! ! The food was hot and had plenty of options to choose from. There was a meat carving station, Omelets to order , lots of Mexican dishes, desserts, kids options and BOTTOMLESS mimosas. It was a nice start to our Easter morning! Thank you #ElTorito .“
“This is old school Mexican restaurant and food and thank goodness it still exists. Maze like interiors with old style decor, frescos on the walls, heavy furniture. It just gets more beautiful as the night comes. Polite helpful servers that know the menu. Lots of new variations but I went with the Chile relleno, cheese enchilada, rice and beans. It rushed me back to my childhood. Enjoy.“
“My fav items here are the passionfruit mango agua fresca and the empapelados with carne asada! I was not familiar with some of these snacks but owner, Diana, is so friendly and was able to teach me more about Mexican snacks! Love coming here and trying other items as well. Definitely try a marquesita!!!!“
“Been coming to this same truck FOREVER. The food is on repeat. Literally never a bad day. Being a regular and knowing it's the same person you see always has me know the food has a face. Service on point, and the ambiance is what you'd expect from any food truck. I'd recommend this spot to anyone. My normal go tos are the chorizo breakfast burrito, any of the tacos, any of the burittos. I always mix it up.“
“This place is so cute! The waitress was so nice and welcoming, the food was homemade and delicious, huge portions but she was happy to give a takeaway box to bring back the rest to our hotel, it would have been a shame to throw it out.Vegetarian options: There was a lot of veggie options.“
“I was greeted by Kenna who was very helpful. She really acknowledge me and let me know that it's a little busy and which is understandable. Being acknowledge when it busy means a lot instead of being ignored like most places. Now I come here weekly for pick up because of her customer service and great food. Thank you!“
“I've always liked Taqueria Los Pericos, they have several locations and I've only ever been to this one. Plus in Oakland/San Leandro/East Bay there are several taqueria options in restaurant or truck forms.I've always enjoyed this place. I usually order their burritos, I'm a bigger fan of burritos than tacos. I usually get their super burrito with al pastor (grilled pork) or shrimp, their super burrito comes with more ingredients like guacamole and sour cream. They have a chip and salsa station which I really enjoy. When I've gone there and ordered for-here, they have a pretty big staff and turnaround orders really quick. They have plenty of seating inside and I've never not been able to find a seat.“
“Me and my son had a blast it was his birthday he turned 8 years old good good way celebrate it we all had fun the kids had fun no regrets the pizza was good as well and the customer service well as well keep up the good work and the people in the front when you first came in the polite and dental no but no nuts then made it happen“
“From the moment we walked in, we were greeted w/ positive vibes . Our waitress was SUPREME in her awareness of the menu and drink specials. My date is a BIG fan of Mexican food & she cooks it rather well. That being said even SHE was blown away by the exquisite taste, the seasoning was impeccable and the drinks were perfect.I was across the street at RICHIE'S Barber shop treating MY 90 year young DAD to a shave and haircut . She got hungry so we asked " Where's some good Mex"They pointed across the street, the rest is HISTORY. I am from Hawaii & the customer service was like ALOHA in the Bay Area. You MUST GO!! Treat your taste buds to a culinary delight.Parking: The area is busy but there is plenty of street parking, paid & free. Parking in the rear as well as across the street at the Safeway strip mall.“
“The best carne asada super burrito, maybe ever! The carne asada was flavorful with big pieces, instead of being the cubed up meh steak from other taquerias. Refried beans on point, rice had a delish garlic flavor. It just all worked together.“
“Another one of my childhood favorites. I remember summers where I would come down to El Portal with some friends and order what I could with my allowance money. I'm glad to see that the restaurant has not changed and the food is still delicious like always. I ordered the chicken fajitas and it came with three corn tortillas, guacamole, sour cream, rice, beans, and some lettuce. It was smokey and seasoned really well, my only gripe is that it was really salty. The horchata I ordered really helped with that. The horchata was creamy and sweet. The birria tacos were delicious, the meat was tender and really juicy. I loved the consume that came with it. It is lacking in the spice department, I wish it had more oomf to it.“
“Omg the ozone and Menudo in this restaurant are so so good. It really did make me feel like I was back in Mexico in a small little restaurant. The service and food are great. The food is coming out piping hot. You can tell they make it fresh and to order. The rice and beans taste home made and the ceiling in this place is a true piece of art.“
“I can't believe I have not written a review for this location yet. I have been going here for over 11 years. The food has never failed but the service is up and down depending when you go. It is a small location but the music is never too loud and the ambiance is calm quiet. This time I ordered one of my favorites the Campechana. As always, there's always too much food for one sitting and it's fresh and delicious. My husband ordered the carne asada with chilaquiles. The chilaquiles were a little too tomato-y for him but the asada is always soooooo good! The service was slow the last time we went and it wasn't busy. The server even forgot the second drink my husband ordered. Nonetheless the food is too good and we'll keep coming back regardless of the service and that's saying something for me.“
“Was honestly surprised on the tacos. The corn tortillas were very fresh and strong taste of corn but not overpowering the flavors of meat. I got birria, lengua and cabeza and all were cooked perfectly. Slightly crispy but perfect amount of oily all cut by the salsa Verde and lime that reduces the oil in mouth feel. Will come back again when I'm in area“
“Don't let the trash in the parking lot or the older tables in the restaurant keep you away. Ana Rosa's is a "Hole in the Wall" The food was very good and the service by the only waiter was responsive and fast. We ordered the Pollo Mole, Chicken Enchilada and Chile Rellano, and the Vegetarian Fajitas. We were all happy, and loved the meals. The chios were fresh and guacamole fresh, flavorful, and seemed made from scratch right there. Meals that we could see being served to others in the restaurant were interesting and came on sizzling plates.“
“I recently dined at this Mexican restaurant, and I must say, it was a delightful experience! The service was impeccable – the staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring our glasses were never empty and answering all our questions with a smile. The food was an explosion of flavors. From the perfectly spiced tacos to the mouthwatering guacamole, every bite was a culinary adventure. The ambiance was cozy, with authentic decor and a vibrant atmosphere that made me feel like I was dining in the heart of Mexico. I'll definitely be back for more!“
“I was at LS Smog shop and I spotted Ciudad Azteca Taqueria since I'm always looking for a Good Mexican restaurant!!!!! After I got my Smog Check. I went right to Ciudad Azteca Taqueria to check it out. It's a Family Owned Hole In the Wall Restaurant!!!! The Owner is very Friendly!!!! The Decor is very Cool!!! It Centers around the Owners Father love of Classic Low Rider Vehicles!!! I ordered a Carne Asada Super Burrito to go !!!! Paid by Credit Card! My Super Burrito was made Freshly right in front of me!!! And it was Definitely Super Burrito sized in Length and Girth!!! When I got home it was well Wrapped and still Hot to the touch!!! Flavors were still there and I thoroughly enjoyed the Burrito!!! Definitely a Baller On a Budget Approved Establishment!!!“
“When I walk in atmosphere was really chill. Great decor selection and the service was spot on. For the food, I got a wet burrito and it was good quality steak and ingredients. Some places the steak isn't that good its like choice cut, this place the beef was fresh, the owner or the owners dad came to check on me, overall 5 star spot that I'd go to again“
