Meat tender. Special sauce is smoky and tasty. I ordered tacos: shrimp, carnitas, pollo and carne asada. Each one special in their own way and simply delicious. Alameda is one of those to places you don’t go unless you have something to do there and I would go just to get these burritos and tacos.“

“We have been to Diablo Taqueria several times in the last year and a half that we have been in Danville. This is not a fancy restaurant, but has simple, tasty Mexican food. Have had their quesadilla and their Mexican salad in a taco bowl - both consistently good. We are vegetarian - and they always have options for us and are willing to customize as needed. We made a rule for ourselves that we would not visit the same restaurant twice in the first year of being in the area in order to try more places - and we broke that rule for this restaurant - just cause it was a great place for a quick healthy lunch.“

I ordered a Pollo Asado burrito and it was about as big as my 14 lb. Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. There was so much chicken! Well seasoned rice and pinto beans that were firm but perfectly cooked. The guacamole was fresh and plentiful.
The burrito was so big I'll be having it for dinner tonight or maybe lunch tomorrow.

If you are into original non glamorous places with fantastic food, THIS WILL BE UP YOUR ALLEY! This is a family own restaurant with a full service bar adjacent room. The micheladas are insane! They have cool variety of imported beer and local to choose. The birria go some and the tiny been tacos will blow your mind.
Just watch out for the life mariachi bands if you don’t like loud music.“
