“YUM!! This was a delicious meal. I had a spicy chicken sandwich and my husband had a burger, which he said was the best he’s had in a long time. I loved my chicken sandwich. Our fries were SO tasty! I couldn’t decide between the strawberry and chocolate shake and they were kind enough to give both to us. They were both PERFECT!! I liked chocolate better but the strawberry was still fantastic! “We LOVE Alice’s. It is a tried and true establishment. If you want to hang with a complete cross section of Northern California, this is the place to be on the weekends. Locals ride horses and “park” the while they eat. Motorcycle cubs gather and eat. Tech bros and students come here. Local mountain folk and Stanford’s faculty hang here too.
The food is great and reliable. We love the homemade chips with all sandwiches and the beef chili on cold nights.
We love it best on a rainy day when there is no crowd and the cloud mist rolls through the dining area. They are definitely missing a cold weather chicken soup staple to go with these awesome cozy winter days, but they have coffee!“

Sam was really good behind the counter, and helped us to some amazing vegan options, such as the Vegan Sub with Meatballs marinara, and another Vegan Philly Steak Sub. Both just wow amazing with high quality vegan organic products (like the organic salad greens from Costco) and vegan meat and cheese from the Butchers Son. Absolutely wonderful!“

“A stellar neighborhood deli serving a wide variety of sandwiches with excellent breads and ingredients. Their current hours are a bit limited, especially for the kitchen/grill half of the menu, but hopefully those expand in the future.

The meatloaf sandwich was exceptional, but I do recommend choosing a softer crust bread than the sourdough roll, as biting through it tended to smush the meatloaf out the side. Not that the roll was in any way had - it was excellent - but just not a great pairing for the meatloaf.“

My Zosui soup was a bit delayed but a staff member gave us little ice cream puffs as an apology and it was very sweet. They were also kind and laughed when my husband and baby were playing games. “As a long time bacon bacon fan (from the food truck, to the Frederick spot, to the airport), it’s very disappointing that the poppy brioche bun is gone. The newer bun is not nearly as good. And the airport location has major QC issues. Less and worse bacon but same price (like $3 more per item at the airport). Also eggs not salted. I’ll still get it, but there’s major room for improvement. I write this hoping it can inform some change among management, because the airport location doesn’t represent the brand we know and love in the haight/cole valley.“

“I have been to many IHOPs, especially to the ones in SF, SSF, DC, by far this is the best IHOP you can go to in terms of food, service and everything. Most IHOPs I been to aren’t as good as this one.

Jessica has been holding it down for so long as she always welcomes you with warmth and a nice smile! The service is amazing, the food I always cooked right and they never get the orders wrong nor do they take too long to take your order or make the food, they simply value your satisfaction.
