However, if you come with an open mind to try different types of fish each seasoned and dressed slightly differently to complement the flavors and also to cater to a less ‘traditional’ palette, then Robin can be a fun experience. We set our price point at around $140 and was served a good amount of food we felt full after. Our server confirmed our dietary restrictions and preferences, and was able to customize each piece to cater to everyone. My favorite piece was probably the uni wagyu seaweed crunch. We came for a work dinner and ended up finishing 3 bottles of sake and had a great time. We were probably responsible for destroying the ambiance as we probably got abnoxiously loud towards the end. Good option for date night or for an expensive company dinner :P“

The abalone dish is easily one of the best things we’ve ever eaten. Perfectly prepared, rich, and layered with flavor. It’s the kind of dish you keep thinking about long after the meal ends.

What really stands out is the consistency. Both visits delivered the same high level of freshness, execution, and attention to detail across every plate. Nothing felt rushed or overlooked.

The sake flight was another highlight, thoughtfully curated and pairing effortlessly with the variety of dishes we ordered. It elevated the entire experience and gave us a chance to explore different profiles alongside the food.

“My family and I love Sushirrito, and the creativity they bring in fusing amazing flavors together with sushi rolls the size of burritos 🌯! We recently dined at their newest location in Redwood City. The restaurant is clean, modern, and I loved the decor, esp the fish lanterns hanging from the ceilings. I got the Satori roll, and it’s the best - fish is fresh and it had the right amount of crunch and sauce to balance the tender hamachi. The matchagave latte was very refreshing, and had flavors mixed together that I’d never tasted before. Sumo crunch roll was perfect for the kids, esp. the red tempura flakes!🍣“

We shared the Moro Tempura—crisp prawn tempura with assorted vegetables—and both ordered the beef udon. The broth was rich with umami from the bonito, the beef was thinly sliced and tender, and the noodles had a perfect bouncy chew. Overall, a great experience—we’d definitely recommend Owada and look forward to coming back to try more of the menu.“

“MJ's is me and my friends go to dinner spot in the Peninsula! The cuts of fish are always fresh and buttery, the hand rolls are generously packed, and the price is unbeatable! The value for the quality is honestly hard to beat. The chef(s) are so talented as well, making sure each bit is perfect, and also being able to prepare exceptional plates exceptionally quick! Being able to go for a quality delicious, but fast meal in a hectic day is such a privilege.
Both the front and back of house staff are genuinely so kind and welcoming and they keep us coming back for more than just great food. Most especially, our usual server, Tabo, who always greets, makes sure we're well taken care of, and remembers our regular orders. Truly worth checking out if you are ever in the Foster City area!

Update: Tabo recommended us to try their karaage — mind blowing-ly juicy and succulent. Genuinely some of the best I have ever had, our complements to the Chef. Will be adding this to our go-to orders.“
