Osteria Toscana Reviews
I wish you would open another location outside downtown Palo Alto. Your food is fabulous but too hard for parking!
Drove 3 hrs for there dinner and thanks to our server Caylee in Palo Alto our dinner was awesome. Thank you CAYLEE!
The food was very good but the manager Chris created a negative vibe. We were seated right across from the entry desk so I had plenty of observation time. The manager doesn't smile & he is very abrupt & bossy with the employees. He doesn't even smile for customers. Our older female waitress was charming, attentive, & experienced. She did not seem to be phased by the manager's oppressive style. She did not need to be told that we were ready to order but he told her that. There...read full review

Osteria Toscana is a restaurant that offers a range of vegetarian options and fresh vegetables in their pasta dishes, catering to various tastes. Standout meals include Caesar's salad, watermelon salad, calamari steak, linguine and clams, and seared petrale. The petrale is cooked to perfection with a delicious butter, wine, and lemon sauce, accompanied by squash, green beans, broccoli, carrots, and polenta. The restaurant provides an exceptional dining experience, with outstanding wine and desserts. Outdoor seating is available for those dining with pets.
Guests often celebrate special occasions at Osteria Toscana, where the staff makes visitors feel welcome and takes time to chat and listen. The food is consistently praised, especially the pasta and veal dishes like Veal Piccata, which is considered outstanding. The restaurant's atmosphere and service create a memorable experience. While the pasta is appreciated, some find it lacks protein and feel hungry after a meal, especially if only a small side of sourdough bread is included, which can be purchased separately. Guests should note that a living wage fee of 5% is charged before tax.
The reviews highlight the restaurant's great service, with friendly and considerate waiters, such as Francisco and Adrian, who made the dining experience enjoyable. The gnocchi with pesto sauce, Chef's Playground menu, and dishes like gnocchi, gazpacho, bruschetta, and panzotti di zucca were also praised by customers.
