“Every time I visit GK Pastry in Mountain View, I usually get the jalapeño cheddar bread (so satisfyingly good, toasted or not), but this time I tried the tomato cheddar bread—crunchy exterior, soft and chewy interior. Awesome toasted. My other go-to is the chocolate jar cake. The chocolate they use is delicious, not too sweet. This time I had the mixberry jar cake. A nice, change-up. Never disappointed. Definitely try and support this local bakery! They opened a new location in Los Altos, too.“

“Wonderful Sunday lunch last week. The fried cauliflower florets starter was great. Nicely fried, not greasy with a good thick pesto labane sauce. We loved the muhamarra with the fried pita strips. Had some the next day and it was still fantastic. The chicken pita sandwich was good. My chickpea salad was tasty, but I wasn’t expecting the chickpeas to be so firm. The chocolate babka was great, not too sweet. The staff was attentive and the service was prompt. Nice atmosphere too, casual and welcoming.“

“Food was so delicious, although the portion was a little bit less, and the price was higher almost everything nowadays…the service was just okay. The associate was friendly, smiling, and had a pleasant demeanor, but the usual “Welcome to the Box” was not there, even though there were tons of them working the day of my visit. There was no upselling. There were crumbs and spills on the floors, tables, and counters, but they were focused on chatting to each other. The location had a musty odor, too, and it was dimly lit. But I will be back because of the delicious food.“

This one time I had the smallest of an issue with my pizza (1 incorrect topping), and without any question the staff and manager apologized and even gave me a full replacement pizza for anytime later.

This is a frequent stop of mine. Keep doing what you guys do ❤️“

“An interesting place to stop for lunch if you’re at Moffet Field. And it has a dog friend patio. The bar was closed on the Wednesday we went, but the grill was open.
This was apparently the former Officers Club building and sits across from the looming Hangar One.
Both the patty melt and Philly cheesesteak were tasty.
Don’t miss the Moffet Field Museum across the street.“
