“It's my 10th day of homelessness living in a shelter nearby. I ordered a oatmeal with all the toppings and a large hot water. Eating the oatmeal and then drinking hot water is so delicious. This is the 3rd time I've had it for breakfast and it is delicious. Being homeless makes me appreciate things I take for granted when I ddn't have to drag my carryon suitcase and backpack everywhere I go. It makes me thankful that this Peets location is warm and inviting. It makes me want to hang out here for the whole day. Before being homeless, you would never see me hang out a coffee place unless I was with friends. I preferred to be lazy at home with my instant hot coffee. But now, I'm grateful that Peets opens at 6 am so I don't need to worry about where I'll stay until library opens at 10(M-Sat) and at 1 pm on Sunday. I feel very blessed to be here especially on this rainy day. The employees/baristas provide wonderful customer service spiced up by their individual personalities. Oatmeal and plain hot water costs $4.15. I've had the bacon, cheese and egg whites sandwich with plain hot coffee and it was delicious. I know it was pre-made and just microwaved but it was delicious. Even if I wasn't homeless, I would still say it tasted "delicioso". Simple things and actions become meaningful when you have no material possessions.“

“Not only their Edeni tea is my new fav and their falafel is so fresh, they care about customers and I'm so impressed that I HAD TO tell everyone, especially if you work from home, pay attention!
So I'm a regular, two or three times a week, and since I work from home, cafes are basically my office.
Screen privacy is a big deal for me, I use a VPN, and I'm always mindful of who can see my monitor.
Lately I've started paying attention to camera placement in whatever café I'm working from, because if you work remote, you either care about this stuff or you should.
So I did something I've never done before: I walked up and asked the owner directly about one of the camera I felt might show my laptop screen. She didn't just reassure me, she pulled out her phone and showed me exactly what the cameras see!
That kind of transparency is the most valuable thing, it's what makes me loyal, because now I have a peace of mind.
Compare that to my experience down the street at Paris Baguette on Castro. Zero awareness, zero effort! They couldn't care less. I won't be going back and made it known to them. Had to change all my passwords etc with that one.
Two cafes, literally two minutes apart. One treats you like a person, one treats you like furniture. The choice is obvious!“

“Nice place. We tried their coffee and it was top notch. The espresso shots came out nicely and wasn't too bitter.
However, the spinach empanada was meh.
The place was also decent, but I felt like we weren't welcome to come sit have some grub and work in our laptops.“

“Mr. Sun’s Boba has been my FAVORITE café in the Bay Area since December 2023. I love Mr. Sun Tea because (1) the ambiance is welcoming and perfect for both reading and working (2) the boba is healthy. The tapioca pearls are made FRESH in-house daily, without any chemicals or artificial additives.

My go-to order is the RAINBOW Boba Milk Tea with three flavors of boba. I love it so much that I also order Mr. Sun for my gatherings and catering needs.“

“I like Peet's Coffee. It's an alternative to Starbucks. Both of these organizations are large corporate ones so you get a consistent level of quality when you purchase your coffee drinks at them. There is no doubt that Peet's is successful. I think their espresso roast is a little darker than Starbucks but they are very similar. I like Peet's and Starbucks about equally.“

“My apologies for not remembering the drink or young ladies name! My wife ordered a specific tea with a special request that was granted by the barista. My wife stated that it was the best tea she had ever had from Starbucks! The young lady was so awesome and provided spectacular service!“

“A delightful find in Mountain View - local favorite boba place that has won Best of Mountain View awards several years in a row. Bobas are super soft and chewy! I would like my Hazelnut milk tea with stronger tea flavor and my husband’s Dark Plum smoothie to be slightly sweeter at 50% sweet. Not too many sweetness levels in some drinks - it’s either 100% or 50%, prices more reasonable than other boba places.“

“Came here for my first Pumpkin Spice Latte of fall and enjoyed the nice space. The cheese danish was also tasty. Friendly staff, relatively quick.
The restrooms were clean, although having the sinks in the common area seemed a bit odd. I guess that’s to keep time in actual bathroom down.“

“Honestly, best place to go to. The service there is great, I believe the person who helped me was Ana, super friendly and very attentive, I asked for recommendations and she got all the information she needed to provide me with my now go-to coffee. I was nervous to steer away from my long term coffee shop but this experience made me realize CHANGE IS GOOD :) I will definitely be coming back! “Wonderful little place! The chilaquiles were amazing! We also ordered the Huevos Rancheros which were also very good. If you had to pick only 1 dish, I would recommend the chilaquiles with green salsa. We ended up adding the linguisa which was cooked perfectly. I would also recommend the Marzipan Iced coffee. This was soooo good.

Overall, I would highly recommend this place! Definitely would come back to try other items“
