“Every time I visit GK Pastry in Mountain View, I usually get the jalapeño cheddar bread (so satisfyingly good, toasted or not), but this time I tried the tomato cheddar bread—crunchy exterior, soft and chewy interior. Awesome toasted. My other go-to is the chocolate jar cake. The chocolate they use is delicious, not too sweet. This time I had the mixberry jar cake. A nice, change-up. Never disappointed. Definitely try and support this local bakery! They opened a new location in Los Altos, too.“

“This place came highly recommended and it did not disappoint. I went on word of mouth without discovering it was cash only. After a little hunting and finding several ATMs on Google Maps missing or broken, I was able to get cash at Bank of America.

I came for the Baked Pork Bun, but also tried the Egg Custard and Red Bean Paste Mochi Roll.

The Pork Bun was HUGE, and the best I have ever had. The owner gave credit to the dough being mixed by hand rather than machine. One is intended to be a meal. I was worried at its size it would fall apart, but it held together. Light, fluffy, and delicious. I was a little concerned when it was taken from rhe warmer and put in a microwave for 15 seconds, but it did not negatively impact the result as far as I could tell. BEST EVER!!

The mochi was more tender and soft than I have ever experienced, and in the most wonderful way. I am used to stretchy and chewy mochi. This was mlre delicate and silky. They look haphazard, but the texture and flavor completely makes up for it.

The Egg Custard was much mlre like a flan in a French pastry as opposed to what I expected of a South Asian Egg Custard. I expect if you like flan, it was good, but my preference is the variety that is more like sweet red bean paste than flan.

He took the order patiently, prepared it on time, and the cake was fresh, soft, and rich without being overly sweet. Everyone genuinely enjoyed it. Great service and a solid eggless cake option in the Bay Area. Would definitely order again!“

I got the glazed donut holes and glazed old fashioned donut, both were moist and not too sweet.

“I came all the way here from SF just because TikTok told me to. They definitely have a good variety to choose from. My kids already had a list that they wanted, so When I came and seen they served durian macarons, I had to get my mother 2! She loves any and everything durian. They’re all reasonable priced, $5-$6 each. And made to perfection and extremely cute. The shells are made to extreme perfection in my opinion! I would definitely come back. Parking is tricky but not impossible, so be aware.“

“I’ve been here multiple times, and every time I find myself wondering why I ever go anywhere else for coffee if C&W is simply the best. I’ve tried a variety of espresso-based drinks, and the Americano and latte are absolutely top-notch. The food is always fresh and tasty, which makes the whole experience even better. “Love the new updated menu - great selection of both vegetarian and non-veg items. I liked it so much that I had to take along few non-Indian friends who are always asking about new Indian places and they loved it too. It’s authentic “Punjabi”. Desserts were nice with vegan options as well. Their Fruit Cake (not on buffet menu) goes really well with wine and is a nice addition to any picnic basket!! :)“

“Me and my friend went out there to spent some time, we had a Cafe latte with caramel and this mouthwatering bread cake which really made our time so memorable as we really enjoyed this!!!
