I have this borderline addiction to croquettes, like, if there’s a croquette around, I have to try it. Last night, I was craving one so bad, and Paris Baguette was the closest place, so obviously, I went. And let me tell you, their croquettes are out of this world. The place itself was spotless, and the staff? So sweet and helpful, but honestly, I was just laser-focused on the croquettes. I got a curry croquette (which is my forever favorite) and, on a whim, decided to try the crab croquette too. It was a revelation! I’m not exaggerating when I say these are the best croquettes I’ve ever had in my life. I’ve tried croquettes everywhere and Paris Baguette is hands down number one on my list now. “I love the pastries or bread there. I love the 85 cents deal on their coffee. The deal for the hot or cold coffee is not good of a deal as the Salted Sea Salt ice coffee for a large size but still worth it for their smaller size hot/cold coffee. I used to buy as much as I could for their Sea Salt Iced Coffee every Monday but now I just buy 1 hot and 1 cold coffee in some Mondays. Cashiers are very nice and friendly. Not sure about the workers that brings out the bake goods since they don’t really talk. One time I asked what kind of bread it is, but I think she didn’t understand me.“

“They have good cakes in general. A few days back I ordered their passion fruit mousse cake for my daughter’s bday, but the passion fruit jelly was not set properly and dripped to the side of the cake . We brought the cake and kept it refrigerated for a long time but the gel did not still get set.
I am not sure whether I would get it again .“

Many of us grew up eating Sheng Kee. There is a lot more variety than what was on the shelf 20-25 years ago, but the quality is kept up as always.

Highly recommend the cheese bread, red bean bun, matcha bun, and all kinds of mooncakes (red bean filling is my fav).

Five pastries plus a small bag of cookies cost $20.

Please consider opening up a shop or two in SoCal. LA and OC need some love from Sheng Kee!

“I love every creation I ever tried! LikLing is a talented pastry chef, who can also do savory. I love about a ten hour drive and I am planning to get there, so I can indulge. LikLing used to have a shop where I lived in NY, and it was fabulous. The banana cream and coconut cream tarts were delicious and artfully crafted without being fussy. Her lemon curd is great, too. Can't say enough good things about her pastries!“

“The best gelato in Milpitas! They also have great ice cream as well. Whenever we are in the mall this is our first stop. They make their flavors fresh each day! Their chef even trained in Italy. We are always very impressed with the taste, and quality. We even order it on DoorDash and UberEats because we just can't get enough of it.“

There are many options for freshly made sandwiches and salads as well. You can ask them to warm up any baked item you like and it increases the flavor many folds. Sitting space is a bit tight but is has some so that is fine. Definitely recommended place.“
