“A true hidden gem in Mountain View. We love coming here for our Saturday morning bagel fix. The bagels are made in-house and have a fantastic texture, with some unique flavors like Swiss cheese, spinach, and jalapeño. Their homemade cream cheese is also a must-try. I'm a big fan of their Vietnamese coffee—it's got a unique blend that's unlike anywhere else. The place is simple but spotlessly clean, and the staff always wears masks. Just remember, there's no seating; it's takeout only.“

“Given that I was there in the morning and looking for my first bite of the day, I was a bit on the grumpy side. That said, the service took a little longer than what my patience level was comfortable with. Still, I had the lox bagel, and though I prefer mine with more veggies, they were not shy with the lox. Well played.“

“I'm so glad to have found this spot in the South Bay. The bagels are charmingly unsymmetrical and have a great chew and nice exterior. For those who like whole wheat bagels and toppings, the sesame wheat bagel is a fantastic option, though I also loved the pumpernickel/rye combo--took some of each to go for later in the week. This time (my second visit in 2 weeks) I had a bagel sandwich with omelette - #19 with avocado and all kinds of vegetable goodies, plus egg & cheese. Yum! I've had NY city bagels freshly made and while these aren't those, I can be happy eating these now. Love that it's not a chain. It's also great to see they're busy. I hope they keep up the great work.“

“I like this shop better than the other bagel place cafes I have tried. Ordered an egg bacon cheese on tomato basil and the blueberry crunch with cream cheese. The bacon is actually very crispy unlike the soggy bacon I have tasted at other places, and they toast the bagels a little more as well, which I like. The tomato basil was excellent and you can’t go wrong with the blueberry crunch. Will definitely be back!“

“After reading reviews, I tried their pesto bagel with sun dried tomato cream cheese. It does not disappoint! It elevates the bagel experience to a next level. I tried the garlic herb cream cheese as well. It's decent but the sun dried cream cheese is a clear winner for me!“

“The best place to go for breakfast, lunch and dinner I was one of the first customers when opened up way back in 2007 if I'm not mistaken and I still go when I can. I quality has not changed one bit!!!!! And the owners are amazing!!!!!!!“

“When you need a good hearty breakfast to power through your day, it's hard to beat a delicious breakfast bagel. I try to come here at least a couple times a month. They make bagels the right way - boiled and baked. This is one of those places where the staff is busy, but still always has a friendly smile. They wouldn't be busy if people didn't love the food, right? They also have Peerless coffee which is always hot and fresh. They have just about any kind of bagel flavor you could ask for, and many ways to make you a breakfast bagel.“

“This place is one of the best bagel places in town. Their cream cheese is very fresh, bagels are always fresh and yummy and the owners greet you with a smile and fast service. It is also never crowded, so you are in and out in less than 5 mins.“

I grew up going here at the location on Hamilton Avenue. I think this is the best bagel spot in Palo Alto. I usually just get a bagel with Schmear, but the sandwiches hit home too. Have yet to be disappointed here. They are super nice, it’s a fun vibe, and a great location. Perfect after a long run throughout the Baylands :)“

“Came in for large coffee and bacon, egg and cheese on plain bagel. Coffee was strong which I like and bagel was a delight: toasted with bacon fried just right( I don't like crisp, crunchy bacon). Bit into a freshly made puffy bagel and took a drink of hot coffee. Simple but very delicioso for me. There are only 2 dine-in customers besides myself. Majority of customers just order takeout. Cost me $10 something for my bagel and coffee. They have breakfast bagels, spread on bagels, bagel sandwiches, espresso drinks, smoothies and milk tea. Convenient location with Safeway, Ross and other businesses in lot. Across the street from Central library.“

“As close to a NY bagel you can get in the Bay Area.
Both the bagels and cream cheeses are super flavorful and service is fast. I’ve tried every bagel place in SF and the Peninsula over the last 3 years and nothing comes close to this.“

“I recently tried a sandwich and donut shop that’s now under new management, and I was really impressed. I ordered the turkey avocado croissant sandwich along with a Vietnamese coffee, and both were excellent. The sandwich was delicious—fresh veggies, great flavor, and perfectly balanced. Even better, the sandwiches are under $10, which is rare these days.

The Vietnamese coffee had just the right kick and paired perfectly with the meal. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better.

I’ll definitely be coming back—this is going to be my new go-to lunch spot. I highly recommend checking them out and supporting a local family business!“

“I want to give a shoutout to Alex for his outstanding customer service. I had a last-minute request for 6 Baker’s Dozen bagels and called the store with only about an hour before closing. Alex was incredibly supportive, reassuring, and quick to help. He immediately let me know he could have the order ready for pickup in 30 minutes, which was a huge relief.

When I arrived, everything was already packed, organized, and ready to go. Alex made what could have been a stressful catering situation completely seamless. His positive attitude, willingness to help, and attention to detail left a great positive impression. Thank you, Alex!!!“

“Please ignore the 1 Star review. They think it’s a scam and it’s not. I used TooGoodToGo to purchase pretzel dogs and the deal was 3 pretzel dogs for $9.99. I figured I was going to get day-old pretzel dogs, but they made them fresh and I was floored. I have used Toogoodtogo for other places, and it would either be day-old or some thing they made in the morning that I was picking up in the evening for other places I tried, but Mountain View Pretzel Dog was fresh and the pretzel hotdogs were tasty. I couldn’t believe what a deal I got. Out of all the places I tried in the app, This was the best one. Pretzels are as good as Auntie Anne’s but just not as buttery. I would definitely buy from them again.“
