“House of Bagels near SJSU is a great family-owned shop. The bagels are fire, especially the salmon bagel, but anything you get will definitely taste good. There’s usually a line, but it’s definitely worth the wait. Parking can be hit or miss, so be prepared to walk a bit.“

“We have been to the place two times over the Labor Day weekend. Tried plain bagels, the lox sandwich, and the belly buster sandwich. All of them were delicious. The place is clean, the staff are exceptionally friendly. I am glad we found this place in our neighborhood.“

“As you walk into City Bagels, you’re hit by the delicious scent of warm bagels and baked goods. It permeates the air and makes you hungry. This family owned bagel shop is the kind of place that I am glad to spend my money.

Their drinks were not much to write home about - they were in boba cups. I had an iced chai which was a little watery(?) and was okay. The real stand out is the bagels. They have many flavors (I recommend Jalapeno Cheddar, which was a nice kick throughout the bagel). The ham and cheese bagel sandwich is very clean to eat on the go and tasty.

The lines are a little long and they seemed to get other peoples’ orders wrong, but for me it was a great experience!“

“I came early in the morning and bought a dozen donuts here. Cool mom & pop store, and I’m happy to support a local business. The people working there, which I’m assuming are the owners, provided friendly and excellent service for a first-time customer like me. My coworkers loved the donuts, and I might come here again if I ever crave a good donut place near my house.“

“2 out of 3 times my bagel was toasted just right (one time was burned). Those are pretty good odds. If you get there early, the bagels are still warm from being freshly made and are even more delicious. They are generous with the schmear, which is nice compared to other places that are stingy with it. There is a cozy dining area, which is just right for eating my bagel while still waking up.“

“When you need a good hearty breakfast to power through your day, it's hard to beat a delicious breakfast bagel. I try to come here at least a couple times a month. They make bagels the right way - boiled and baked. This is one of those places where the staff is busy, but still always has a friendly smile. They wouldn't be busy if people didn't love the food, right? They also have Peerless coffee which is always hot and fresh. They have just about any kind of bagel flavor you could ask for, and many ways to make you a breakfast bagel.“

“I recently tried a sandwich and donut shop that’s now under new management, and I was really impressed. I ordered the turkey avocado croissant sandwich along with a Vietnamese coffee, and both were excellent. The sandwich was delicious—fresh veggies, great flavor, and perfectly balanced. Even better, the sandwiches are under $10, which is rare these days.

The Vietnamese coffee had just the right kick and paired perfectly with the meal. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better.

I’ll definitely be coming back—this is going to be my new go-to lunch spot. I highly recommend checking them out and supporting a local family business!“

Clean and organized, the breakfast sandwiches is made when you order so its nice and hot too. The prices are really great as well. The donuts are classic and delicious, service is fast as well. “Please ignore the 1 Star review. They think it’s a scam and it’s not. I used TooGoodToGo to purchase pretzel dogs and the deal was 3 pretzel dogs for $9.99. I figured I was going to get day-old pretzel dogs, but they made them fresh and I was floored. I have used Toogoodtogo for other places, and it would either be day-old or some thing they made in the morning that I was picking up in the evening for other places I tried, but Mountain View Pretzel Dog was fresh and the pretzel hotdogs were tasty. I couldn’t believe what a deal I got. Out of all the places I tried in the app, This was the best one. Pretzels are as good as Auntie Anne’s but just not as buttery. I would definitely buy from them again.“

“I want to give a shoutout to Alex for his outstanding customer service. I had a last-minute request for 6 Baker’s Dozen bagels and called the store with only about an hour before closing. Alex was incredibly supportive, reassuring, and quick to help. He immediately let me know he could have the order ready for pickup in 30 minutes, which was a huge relief.

“Stopped by on Labor day and the store was busy (not surprised as it’s a holiday) but the manager Christine remained positive and kind. I have worked in high stress environments before and know that it can be difficult, but she remained calm and friendly regardless. Bagels were delicious as always & so was the coffee.
