House of Bagels, located in the Almaden Costco shopping center, is a beloved spot for bagel lovers. The restaurant offers a variety of bagels, including the #17 turkey with everything on a toasted Asiago bagel, sausage, egg and cheese bagel, and tuna or chicken salad bagels on jalapeno or pesto cheese. They even have egg bagels, which are a favorite among customers. The bagels are made with high-quality ingredients and are known for their satisfying crunch, with a super fluffy interior and crispy exterior. The restaurant is a popular choice for locals seeking breakfast and also provides lunch options. The staff is recognized for their excellent service, friendliness, and accommodating nature. Although there is often a long line on weekends, the bagels are always fresh and delicious. The large parking lot makes it convenient for customers. While there is no seating available inside, there is a decent amount of seating outside, which is perfect for spring and summer. Customers can also enjoy their bagels at nearby locations such as Costco and Trader Joe's. Additionally, the restaurant sells small containers of their delicious cream cheeses and offers drinks like the best iced chai latte, making it a hidden gem worth recommending to friends and family.
